Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters *International Trailer* (1-11-2013) Directed by Tommy Wirkola, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters takes place 15 years after the siblings’ incident at the gingerbread house. The two are now specialized bounty hunters looking to put down the cackling black-hat set. Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton star as Hansel and Gretel.

 

 

This Must Be the Place (11-2-12) Cheyenne, a wealthy former rock star (Sean Penn), now bored and jaded in his retirement embarks on a quest to find his father’s persecutor, an ex-Nazi war criminal now hiding out in the U.S. Learning his father is close to death, he travels to New York in the hope of being reconciled with him during his final hours, only to arrive too late. Having been estranged for over 30 years, it is only now in death that he learns the true extent of his father’s humiliation in Auschwitz at the hands of former SS Officer Aloise Muller – an event he is determined to avenge. On the Road (12-21-12) After his father’s death in the late 1940s, 24-year-old aspiring writer Sal Paradise meets 20-year-old ex-jailbird Dan Moriarty and his beautiful wife Marylou in New York. Dan is extremely charming and has a flexible moral code, and is as fascinated by Sal’s obsession with writing as Sal is by the unfettered freedom of his lifestyle. The two men spend intense nights of drinking, dreaming of another world, and forming a friendship that will take them on a trip across America. After staying at Bull Lee’s place in Louisiana, Sal, Dean, and Marylou continue traveling – naked and utterly enjoying themselves. Starring Garrett Hedlund, Sam Riley, and Kristen Stewart star as well as Kirsten Dunst, Amy Adams, Viggo Mortensen, Tom Sturridge, Steve Buscemi, Elisabeth Moss, Alice Braga, and Terrence Howard.

 

 

The Comedy (11-16-12) Starring Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim of Tim and Eric, “The Comedy,” is a dark experimental film that highlights the life and times of an individual who hangs out all day, doing nothing nothing more than escalating fights and insulting people.

 

 

Seven Psychopaths (10-12-12) From Oscar-winning writer and director Martin McDonagh comes a star-studded, blood-drenched, black comedy. Marty (Colin Farrell) is a struggling writer who dreams of finishing his screenplay Seven Psychopaths. All he needs is a little focus and inspiration. Billy (Sam Rockwell) is Marty’s best friend, an unemployed actor and part time dog thief, who wants to help Marty by any means necessary. Hans (Christopher Walken) is Billy’s partner in crime. A religious man with a violent past. Charlie is the psychopathetic gangster whose beloved dog, Billy and Hans have just stolen. Charlie’s unpredictable, extremely violent and wouldn’t think twice about killing anyone or anything associated with the theft. Marty is going to get all the focus and inspiration he needs, just as long as he lives to tell the tale.

 

 

The Company You Keep (TBD) Jim Grant (Robert Redford) is a widowed single father and attorney living in Albany. What none of his friends or clients know is that Jim was once a member of the activist/terrorist organization the Weather Underground. Wanted for robbery and the murder of a security guard, Jim has been in hiding for more than thirty years. When another former Weatherman (Susan Sarandon) turns herself in to the FBI, Ben Shepard (Shia LaBeouf), an aggressive young journalist, starts sniffing around for leads. He gradually finds his way to Jim, not suspecting that this seemingly upright citizen is himself a former militant activist. Concerned that Ben will eventually discover his true identity, Jim flees, though a safe harbour may prove difficult to find.

 

 

The To Do List (2-14-2013) The To Do List follows a type-A overachiever named Brandy Klark who decides to prepare for life after high school in an unusual way. Having realized that she’s missed out on the romantic and sexual rites of passage that most of her peers experienced in high school, she makes a bullet-point list of risque activities to accomplish before she sets off to college.Written and directed by Funny or Die scribe Maggie Carey.

 

 

Chinese Zodiac (12-?-2012) Also known as Armour of God III: Chinese Zodiac is an upcoming Hong Kong action film produced, written, directed by and starring Jackie Chan. It is the sequel to the 1991 film Armour of God II: Operation Condor, in which Jackie will reprise his role as Asian Hawk. The movie tells about Asian Hawk bringing back the bronze head statues of the 12 Chinese zodiac animals, which were sacked by the French and British armies from the imperial Summer Palace in Beijing in 1860.
