Now out on home video is a Berry fun DVD for girls of all ages, it’s Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Friends Forever. Mom’s who grew up with Strawberry Shortcake now can take great pride in being able to share a stylized and fun new version of this sweet show with their own children. With four colorfully animated and musical adventures, girls of all ages will enjoy over 90 minutes of adorable stories of friendship, manners, sharing and teamwork. Our own resident kid reviewer Lindalee Rose was quite excited to want to review this video (she even chose a dress with cupcakes on it to wear for the occasion) and she shares her thoughts in the segment above. Read ahead to learn some more details about the video now available from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and check out some cool coloring pages you can print and share too!

About Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Friends Forever:

Life in Berry Bitty City is always better when Strawberry and her friends try their berry best.  Princess Berrykin decides to bring back an old tradition and Blueberry spends so much time worrying about manners that she forgets what is really important.  When a Good Citizens Club is formed, Plus learns that fitting in with others is fine, as long as she follows her heart.  Lemon and Raspberry work together to clean up a playground, and soon see the berrytastic value of teamwork.  Strawberry helps out the Postmaster Bee, who shows her the value of honest effort.  It’s friendship and helping hands to the rescue in this sweet, fun-filled adventure.

Parents Review: My girls just love this video, from the very start the opening to each episode has them singing and dancing. While the computer animation and visuals at times seem very basic, that is mostly reserved for backgrounds and locations, the characters themselves though are given much more care and it’s evident in movement and details. From flowing hair to blinking eyes, the focus of attention given to Strawberry and her friends make their individual personalities stand out every moment they are on screen. Strawberry is the resident rocker as well because almost every episode seems to have her jamming on her Strawberry guitar singing a lesson about friendship, sharing or helping out. It’s hard to watch this without the kids jumping up and moving to the rhythm of the songs (see the end of the review video for proof). With so many adorable characters from the Berrykins, to Pupcake the dog, the Ladybug Twins and all of the friends who share in Strawberry’s adventures, this video is a welcome addition in this families home video collection as I’m sure it will be in yours as well.
