Beyond the Marquee: The Web Series (Episode 31) – The 30th Anniversary Knight Rider Reunion

Three days of Knight came to Southern California as fans converged on Universal City to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the classic NBC action-crime show, Knight Rider.  On October 5th-7th, the Beverly Garland hotel, a five-time filming location for the show, played host to a myriad of fans, cast, crew and star cars attending the 30th Anniversary Knight Rider Reunion.  Panels of key players from series regulars, episode producers, K.I.T.T. car designers, TV theme composers, show historians and many more were on hand to answer questions, sign autographs and take pictures with fans from around the globe!

Screen-used props from the show (the largest gathering of props from Knight Rider together in one room) were on display as dealers offered up their latest themed wares of Michael Knight dolls, K.I.T.T. cars and other assorted memorabilia.  Over a dozen replica K.I.T.T. (and K.A.R.R.) vehicles lined up in two rows creating what looked like a car dealership lot full of souped up, crime-fighting Trans-Ams.  For those who never had the chance in the 80’s to sit in one of the original show cars at an Auto Show or Universal Studios, this event gave them that coveted opportunity.

Beyond the Marquee was privileged to receive VIP access and we hope this episode conveys how much fun we truly had at the event!
