FANS SPOT LIFE-SIZE STATUES OF THE LONE RANGER AND TONTO TRAVELING THE U.S. FOR A CHANCE TO WIN A TRIP TO NEW MEXICO

No it’s not a last minute promotional push for this weekends “Man of Steel”, but something else has taken to the elevated vantage points in cities around the country. In support of Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ “The Lone Ranger,” releasing in U.S. theaters on July 3, Disney kicked-off of The Lone Ranger Ride for Justice Tour in New York City’s Union Square on June 12th. Life-size statues of the Lone Ranger and Tonto appeared atop an iconic building on 18th Street in Union Square. Fans gathered for a meet-up in Bryant Park and participated in a hunt to find the statues and were given Lone Ranger prizes and screening passes. The tour continues across the country ending in L.A., just in time for the movie’s opening on July 3rd.  The Lone Ranger and Tonto will be gracing rooftops, mountaintops and famous landmarks along the way, only staying long enough in each city to be discovered by the locals before they continue their ride westward to Orlando, Miami, Atlanta, St. Louis, New Orleans, Denver, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Hollywood, and Burbank. Man of Steel, Crushes with its Dark Side (Film Review)

Taking a walk on the dark side for a comic book favorite, Man of Steel blazes into theaters under the direction of Zack Snyder this weekend and he’s aiming at taking over Iron Man as the best box-office superhero.  The cast, crew and story are impeccable providing a brooding look into the life of Superman and the battle for planet Earth. Yet there’s a chance that this version may implode somewhat with Snyder’s desire to outperform fantasy productions that have come before it.

They encourage everyone who has viewed the episodes to review and rate the pilots. The highest-rated pilots are the ones that Amazon plans to turn into full series. Amazon has 25 total pilots released or in development at the present time, according to Wired. Click ahead to read more…

This is the End, an Apocalyptic Comedy (Film Review)

In a smart move by Seth Rogen for his fans things start getting Looney bins in his new film This Is The End, an apocalyptic film that features most all his old pals and then some.  The movie isn’t more than a goof on the end of the world, but it scorches when it comes to the comedy the stars bring to the screen.  If you’ve ever wanted to see this bunch go wacky together, then grab your bible and get the Hades on down to see This Is The End.
