Beyond the Marquee talks to the star of ANNIE; Aileen Quinn

June 18th, 2012 marks the 30th anniversary of the 1982 musical family film which inspired little girls around the world to sing, dance and harness a fiery spirit far into tomorrow; ANNIE.

Aileen Quinn as Annie, Carol Burnett as Miss Hannigan and Albert Finney as Daddy Warbucks ignited the screen in the this decades old timeless classic. Now, next week, in celebration of the 30 year Annie’versary, we’ve got an Exclusive Interview with the little orphaned redhead herself, all grown-up. She’ll be on hand to not just fill you in on all the singing and dancing she’s been doing since the film’s debut all those years ago, but answering YOUR questions (aka Q&A’nnie).

Beyond the Marquee was on hand for the unveiling of Disney XD’s “TRON: Uprising” Theatre on Wheels at Hollywood & Highland on Saturday May 26th 2012. In public spaces throughout the “real” grid of Southern California, viewers will have the opportunity to see a prelude episode of the new animated series “TRON: Uprising” in a state of the art, high definition theatre on wheels. BTM’s own Steve Czarnecki files this Exclusive interview with Executive Producer and Series Director Charlie Bean and TRON himself; the legendary Bruce Boxleitner at the event. In public spaces throughout the “real” grid of Southern California, viewers will have the opportunity to see a prelude episode of the new animated series “TRON: Uprising” in a state of the art, high definition theatre on wheels. The 91 seat theatre provides an immersive viewing experience with digital surround sound and stadium seating. The continuous screenings at each location are made available at no charge. The series premieres Thursday, June 7 on Disney XD.

After squirming in my seat trying to get more comfortable several times I began to realize that there’s something wrong with Men in Black 3, it drones, creating a lackadaisical mood that destroys any comical stimulus. That said, the film however reeks with plot, silly alien characters and amazing guns and gadgets. But, the glitz and glitter aren’t enough to carry the third edition of the single film winning franchise.
