MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Episode 2.06: A Fractured House (T.V. review)

The title of this week’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode, A Fractured House, could refer to multiple “houses.”

There’s S.H.I.E.L.D. itself, still suffering from its Hydra infestation and fugitive status. Next is the Fitz-Simmons relationship, which resumed last week with Simmons’ return, though not in the direction that Fitz would prefer. Then we have a pair of divorcées — new recruits Bobbi and Hunter — trying to work together without killing each other. Most significantly, however, is the House of Ward.

“Before I Go To Sleep” a Tantalizing Mystery Thriller (Film Review)

Keeping it weird for Halloween, the movie Before I Go to Sleep opens in theaters on October 31. The movie stars Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth in a very off beat story about a woman who’s an amnesiac, someone who has memory loss as a result of shock or a traumatic injury. If you like films that tantalize get very suspenseful and shocking with the flavor of an Alfred Hitchcock thriller, make your Hallows Eve this movie mystery.

After a very successful test subjection of my children of HBO’s 2011 “Pee-wee Herman Show on Broadway”, I realized that I had a house full of future Paul Reubens fans on my hands. Now, the entire house is enthusiastic about the recent arrival of the “Pee-wee’s Playhouse” on home-video and in HD.

Passionately re-mastered, the Blu-ray by Shout! Factory contains all 45 original episodes from the original 1986-1991 run on CBS as well as a ton of behind the scenes/making of special features and the infamous Christmas special. Have I mentioned yet that they are now in HIGH-DEFINITION!?!?!

Pee-wee’s Playhouse wasn’t just a playground that sparked creativity and imagination in the hearts of millions of viewers, young and old, it was an educational, artistic and entertaining show that taught kids strong ‘life lessons’. It was a series that was ahead of its time with the vision and the creative freedom to experiment with new styles and techniques: combining live-action, puppetry, stop-motion and clay animation. The series was brimming with rich original characters, humor, innovative visual effects and production designs. Pee-wee Herman and Pee-wee’s Playhouse have been a staple in the pop culture zeitgeist ever since.

Details revealed of today’s MARVEL Mystery Event!

At a special MARVEL Mystery Event today at the famous El Capitan theatre in Hollywood, Disney & Marvel Execs were on hand with a select group of about 600 fans and assorted press/media to reveal an incredible line-up of the MARVEL Phase 3 slate of films in the works.

Included in the announcement from Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, were the plans for a 2nd Guardians of the Galaxy, the third Captain America and THOR films, Doctor Strange, the Inhumans, a 2 part-Avengers story, a female Captain Marvel movie and more!

Truly an exciting next 4 years of rumors, speculations, sneak peeks, Comic-Con footage reveals and more await us all and we couldn’t be more excited!
