The Laemmle Theatre in Pasadena, CA will be hosting the release of Calloused Hands on November 14. The movie was recently awarded the “Hearts, Mind, Soul” award at the Rhode Island Film Festival. Andre Royo of “The Wire” who stars in the film will be attending the special opening along with writer and director Jesse Quinones.

Taking a shot as a hitman in his latest film John Wick, Keanu Reeves delivers his character with authority in this explosive crime drama. The film turns out to be an ideal fit for the star and his former stunt double turned director as they move to one perfectly choreographed fight scene after another. It’s a fast action gauntlet that lasts nearly the whole 96 minutes.

Previously on Once Upon a Time… Anna of Arendelle seeks to find new answers about where her parents went, and she comes to realize that they were looking for a way to control her sister, Elsa, and her hidden magic. On the surface Elsa appeared to be just like every royal princess, but deep inside her magical powers compelled her parents to protect both themselves and her from her magic. Meanwhile Regina, the once cruel and self righteous queen, sought the help of her son Henry in finding the author of the Once Upon a Time book, in order to write herself a happy ending. But at what cost to everyone else? Lastly, and most prominently in this episode, Hook reveals his knowledge about the dagger Belle has as being a fake.
Continue reading below if you want to see what becomes of the sisters Anna and Elsa and the bond of love that compels them to see the good in each other. Also, now that Operation Mongoose is in effect, what will Henry and Regina discover in Regina’s vault, and how will they start to reveal the true identity of the author of the Once Upon a Time book. As a kid growing up and listening to Stan Freberg comedy records in my bedroom, I’m excited to share this announcement for all those who appreciate good satire and clever parody. If you’re not familiar with humorist Stan Freberg, for over the past 70 years he’s lent his unique talents to radio, TV and film as a writer, author, voice actor, advertising guru, director and composer. Modern day musical parody legend “Weird Al” Yankovic has many times acknowledged Freberg as his greatest influence, noting that without Stan Freberg, there’d be no “Weird Al”.
If you live in the Los Angeles area and are up for a night of pure Entertainment, then get your tickets now to “THE GENIUS OF STAN FREBERG: 70 YEARS OF CREATIVE ENTERTAINMENT”.
