Rumors are swirling as the fifth instalment of the Jurassic franchise, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom goes through post-production for a scheduled release of June 22, 2018. Chris Pratt will continue his streak as one of the hottest action heroes in Hollywood right now by reprising his role as velociraptor-whisperer Owen Grady, while Bryce Dallas Howard also returns as Claire Dearing, manager of the Jurassic World resort.

Glen A. Larson was a legendary producer. During his golden years, he gave us classics like The Six Million Dollar Man, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Knight Rider, and, of course, the immortal tale of the last remnants of the 12 Colonies running for their lives across the Galaxy, Battlestar Galactica. Much like Star Trek (the original), the first Battlestar Galactica series had a controversial start. Although it won the “Best New TV Drama Series” award at the 1979 People’s Choice Awards, the series only ran for 17 episodes – to the great disappointment of the fans. In 1980, the Colonial flagship returned to the screen, yet in a different format – with the fleet arriving at Earth, the Colonial forces needed to stop the Cylons from taking over. This time, the series only lasted for ten episodes. This didn’t stop the series from achieving cult status, yet it resisted any attempt of revival until 2003.

This week the BBC & Fathom Events hosted an exclusive nationwide cinema event screening of Doctor Who: The Power of the Daleks. This was the first time Doctor Who: The Power of the Daleks had ever been shown in North America. Lost since its premiere on the BBC 50 years ago, the full six-part story has now been meticulously animated and features added bonus content including interviews with members of the original cast.
Reigning title holder of the World’s Youngest Doctor Who reporter and reviewer, our own resident Whovian Lindalee Rose headed to a local theater with some fellow Whovians to check out this exclusive cinemas event, 50 years in the making!
The Power of the Daleks makes it’s official TV debut here in the United States on Saturday November 19th on BBC America.
