“Gabrielle” A Poignant Story of Love and Music (Foreign Film Review)

Poignant, enlightening and romantic the movie Gabrielle tells a compelling story of a young woman challenged by her genetic disorder.  Directed with a keen sense of understanding by Louise Archambault the film works with several anxieties including rite of passage, family influence, dealing with peers, coming of age and sexuality. The acting is brilliant and the story inspires viewpoints and conversations.

“Transcendence” Tampering with the Future (Film Review)

Working on its viewers with the promise of a chilling Sci-Fi thriller, in the end Transcendence fails to deliver. While the beginning of the film does offer an intriguing view of what could happen if a research company developed independent network with enough power and information to find a cure for cancer, the movie gets trite when a faction with a cause tries to destroy it.  Add to this the insipid performances, weak direction and too much out of control fiction and you get a wretched two hours with no reward.

With the opportunity to be selfless, will Hook make the easy one or the hard one.

With the opportunity to be selfless, will Hook make the easy one or the hard one.

Previously on Once Upon a Time there was a tumultuous battle between the likes of the Wicked Witch of the West and the Evil Queen, otherwise known as Zelena and Regina. Had it not been for Regina’s wit their was a good chance that she would be dead at the hands of her half sister. Fortunately for her, she removed her own heart, and hid it in the forest of Storybrooke at the protection of her true love, Robin Hood. How the story unfolds in tonight’s episode will clearly demonstrate the depth of love, and just how hard some will go to fight for it. Click ahead for our recap and review of this week’s “Once…”
