MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Ep 17: Turn, Turn, Turn (T.V. review)

T.V. network marketing tosses around the term “game changer” as if it’s a rag doll. “Tune in to this week’s exciting ______ . It’s a game changer!” “Don’t miss tonight’s game changing episode of _____ !!” “After the final game changing moments of the new _______ , nothing will ever. Be the same. Again!!!”

Seldom do the actual episodes live up to such hyperbolic hype. In terms of games, these ratings-grabbing shows are often on par with switching from Checkers to Chinese Checkers (or as the Chinese call it — Checkers). This week’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., however, shifts the game from Checkers to Global Thermonuclear War (simulated of course).

Nothing truly will ever be the same again for Coulson & Co., as well as the entire M.C.U., because the newest S.H.I.E.L.D. episode is the very definition of a game change. How so? It’s none other than Paul’s take on Captain America: The Winter Soldier. This beautiful 24×36″ giclée print is printed on fine art paper and was designed and illustrated as Paul imagined an illustrated one sheet for the film could have looked like, based on his love of the illustrated movie posters he grew up with.

With only having a few glimpses of online teaser trailer footage, stills, a limited knowledge of what the film was about and who would be in it, Paul Shipper still managed to create an amazing piece of work that has got MARVEL fans salivating! “Draft Day” A Tension Packed Drama (Film Review)

With the NFL Draft a month away, the movie Draft Day will be hoping for a lengthy run at the box-office. The film takes you to the innards of high pressure picking and trading not seen during a real NFL draft. We saw one side of the coin, player management, in the movie Jerry Maguire when it was released in 1996, but here we get a Hollywood look at what happens in the back rooms of the teams holding all the cards.

“Raid 2” An Action Packed Crime War (Foreign Film Review)

It’s a knock down drag out fight to the finish in The Raid 2: Berandal a chopsocky film that unleashes nearly every known hand-to-hand fighting method in a period of two and a half hours. The action crime film takes the viewer on a gut wrenching ride reminiscent of Jet Li in The Enforcer. A continuation of the 2012 release, the film drags a bit, but still delivers a knock-out punch.

Furthermore, Rumpel’s weakness to Zelena is revealed, as she touts her control over him. With him in her back pocket, she demands Regina to meet her the next night on Main Street to battle. This week the story was driven by Zelena’s struggle in the past of always being second best to Regina, and how she sought to revenge her existence in the present.
