Just when you thought you couldn’t be more impressed by the amazing technology that sent Chris Evans as Captain America exploding out from a 2-D one-sheet movie poster, NOW, Cap’s arch-nemesis, the Winter Soldier is crashing thru the bus-shelter posters for the film, just in time to catch Cap’s iconic shield!
“The shield-catch is a major moment in the story, and we’re honored to have had an opportunity to bring it to life in a new way for the film’s audience” says Nels Israelson, Photographer and Creative Director for the CAE App. “For the Winter Soldier AR scene, we separately shot both the front & the back of the shield with our camera array so as to build a full 360 view of it; you can walk your device right up underneath to check out the straps.”

MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Episode 16: End of The Beginning (T.V. review)
April 4th, 2014
Steven D'Arcangelo After featuring ancillary agents Blake, Garrett, Sitwell and Victoria Hand in solo episodes, we now have their Avengers-like team-up in the latest installment of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The quartet joins Coulson & Co. in stopping the Clairvoyant once and for all, a goal complicated by the presence of Mike Peterson, A.K.A. Deathlok the Demolisher, which sounds a bit more intimidating than Mike Peterson.
Aside from climaxing the ongoing Clairvoyant subplot, this episode is also tasked with serving as the lead-in to Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which opens nationwide today. Toss in major turning points for Skye, Ward (skyward?) and May, along with an ominous title like End of the Beginning, and the showrunners have a lot to live up to. Read on to see if they do.
“Captain America” An Action Packed Thriller (Film Review)
April 3rd, 2014
John Delia
Next to the Iron Man series, Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier comes in a close second. The very compelling storyline, creative action, excellent direction and above all good acting combine to put this super hero in the forefront. Not so sci-fi fantasy, the Captain works to protect and serve. He’s an Ethan Hunt with more courage and abandon.
What, You, Make a Movie? Here are Some Tips on How to Finance an Independent Film!
April 3rd, 2014
Beyond the Marquee Independent films aren’t owned by a major film studio, so they typically allow greater freedom of expression for the producer and director. “Pulp Fiction,” an independent movie produced on an $8 million budget in 1994 by a then-30-year-old Quentin Tarantino, grossed $213.9 million worldwide. “Good Will Hunting,” another independent film produced on an estimated $10 million dollar budget, hit box office sales of $226 million and launched the careers of Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. Although these two movies did not have the support of a major film studio, their budgets were substantial. If you’re looking for a way to compete in the independent film market, you need funding.
“Le Week-End” A Marriage-Go-Round” (Film Review)
April 2nd, 2014
John Delia
Charming, realistic and yet scary the comedy/drama Le Week-End takes you into a world with a bleak look at an aging couple that finds themselves entering a difficult time in their lives without a golden parachute. Delightfully acted and brilliantly directed, the film is a mental picture of the evolution of a marriage.
