“Invisible Woman” Uncharted Romance (Film Review)

Set in the 1800’s England, The Invisible Woman comes to the screen with all the opulence of the period.  The period piece takes you on a journey of uncharted romance shrouded with an affair.  Appealing due to the actuality of the true story based on Charles Dickens, the film offers a look into the private life of one of the world’s greatest authors.  Beautifully presented with realistic settings of the era and enjoyable acting by the whole cast, it’s a drama you can relish a long time after you have left the theater.

Gimme POSTER

“Gimme Shelter” Innocence Lost (Film Review)

A very good film that delves into the soul of innocence lost is touching and heartrending.  It’s called Gimme Shelter and tells a true story about a teen thrown on a dark path that comes to a hurtful crossroad in her life.  The drama has all the trappings of being a future candidate for award honors for acting and direction.  Not your average teen angst film, this one has a lot of tough love and unusual courage.

I feel the need, the need for a Need for Speed movie...

I feel the need, the need for a Need for Speed movie…

They say life imitates art, but nowadays art has not just mirrored life, but a sub-cultural part of it, that for many, has become a way of life. Movies inspired by video games is nothing new, we’ve seen it happen over the past couple decades from Super Mario Bros, Doom, Resident Evil, Mortal Kombat, Tomb Raider and Wreck-It-Ralph for example. Though some have been box office hits, others have been major flops! With the video game industry more popular than it’s ever been, the increase of multi-media expansion from the console to the cinema is growing in leaps and bounds. And while we still wait patiently for a HALO movie, there are some great adaptations hitting the silver screen this year based on some classic and current video games that look like a lot of fun. Read ahead for the one’s we’re anticipating most…
