MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Episode 12: Seeds (T.V. review)

SHIELD Level 7

Nothing makes one feel like it’s wintertime in Los Angeles quite like unseasonably hot weather.  Today it’s a record-breaking 89 degrees in the Valley where it should be 60-something this time of year.  Unlike my snowbound relatives back east who think I’m rubbing it in every time they ask what the temperature is out here, I’m not.  I prefer 60s.  I like rain.  I’m a big supporter of seasonably appropriate weather, otherwise the Christmas Bends set in.  So when Mother Nature ditches her job, it’s nice to see Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. make up for it with a chilly episode that would make Iceman proud.

Top 10 Movies for 2013

The year 2013 has been a good one for film as witnessed by the box-office revenues and the extensive choice of both dramatic, comedy and action oriented film releases.  As with every year I choose the top ten films that I think most deserve a chance for an Oscar.

Unlike other years where I found myself digging for films that had excellence in all areas necessary to make the cut, that being Story, Direction, Acting and Filming this year had too many choices.  While most of the stories that stood out were based on true incidents, there were several fictional narratives that showed keen imagination with scripts that intrigue and captivate.  But, even though audiences were not flocking to theaters to see some of the following, most of them had an excellent run.  FINALLY, I only choose ten each year, but included a paragraph listing others that deserve honorable mention.

The following are my 10 choices for the best films 2013 and Oscar worthy.
