Dundler Mifflin to Close it’s OFFICE after Next Season!

The Office” fans, the end is coming! In a call today with TV Line and Entertainment Weekly, original showrunner (of Seasons 1-5); Greg Daniels made the announcement that the NBC comedy will finally close up shop next May’s final season. He hints that many looming questions will be answered, from the identity of the Scranton Strangler to the documentary crew who has been documenting the show all this time (and why they are doing it). Some drama is in store for Jim and Pam, someone’s getting married, and though not confirmed, the hopes of a cameo by Steve Carell’s Michael Scott character.  With some of the cast including Mindy Kalling and Rainn Wilson departing the show, it seems that now is a good-time to bow out gracefully. Daniels says “Now that we know we have an end date we can blow things up and take some chances and it will be very freeing, creatively.”
