October 5th-7th, all Knight, all day!

If you live in Southern California and are a fan of the classic NBC action-crime show Knight Rider, than be sure to head over to the Knight Rider 30th Anniversary Reunion event! October 5th-7th at the Beverly Garland hotel in Universal City, California is the location for what’s sure to be a historic event for any fan of the hit TV show! Hard to believe it’s been 30 years since David Hasselhoff (aka “the Hoff) and his crime fighting super-car K.I.T.T. sped onto the airwaves and into the hearts and imaginations of fans everywhere. Steve C here, Chief Marquee’ologist for Beyond the Marquee, and let me just admit right here and now that I have always been a Knight Rider fan! From the original series, to the made for TV specials, the extended universe spinoff’s and more! I was 9 years old when the show debuted and I was instantly hooked! From the various toys, the coloring books, stickers, even making fake K.I.T.T. dashboard displays I’d tape onto my dirt bike to pretend it was a Knight Industries vehicle while a tape recording of K.I.T.T.’s responses played on a tape deck strapped to my handlebars. And I wonder why I was picked on in school! About 5 years ago I got to interview the new cast for the recent NBC incarnation of Knight Rider, and that was a ton of fun despite it not really being that great a show! And yes, I admit, I even have a couple apps on my iPhone that are sound sensitive and simulate the voice boxes from K.I.T.T. and K.A.R.R. that make my drive homes listening to talk-radio all the more exciting. <—-Yes, I admit, I’m a Knight Rider super-pursuit-fan!!!

That all being said, I am so excited to see the line-up of actors, crew, production staff and more coming to this event. Not to mention the fans coming with their replica vehicles, then actual cars from the series, props from the show and even a replica of the Knight Industries semi-truck will be on hand.

Nick Nugent, a fan and friend of Beyond the Marquee, has taken his passion for the show beyond the fantastic Knight Rider Companion book he wrote and now has organized this amazing event that’s happening October 5th-7th at the Beverly Garland Hotel. Now fans of the show will know that the Beverly Garland has a bit of Knight Rider history to it, in the fact that a handful of episodes were shot there, both on the interior and exterior. Plus the Beverly Garland is famous for playing host to lots of great Hollywood fan conventions and celebrity gathering events in the past, so once again a playground of Hollywood magic will await guests.

Speaking of guests, Nugent has worked for years on building relationships with those involved with the show, and now some have to agreed to gather for this 30th anniversary event, some of the guests confirmed thus far are; Currently confirmed guests include: the composers for the show, producers, writers, directors, stunt-doubles, designers, actors, historians and so much more.  Click HERE to see the star-studded line-up. There’s even some surprise guests who may make an appearance, but Nugent isn’t spilling the beans just yet on who they are!

This amazing event is truly hard-core for Knight Rider fans and Nick is 200% passionate about making this as amazing a fan-experience as possible. “We can only attempt to do this event once but the 30th anniversary of Knight Rider deserves the highest plateau we can give it”, Nick tells Beyond the Marquee.
