The Look
When “Jersey Shore” first appeared on MTV, Pauly D jumped into entrepreneurship with a friend by starting Dirty Couture. A casual clothing line with T’s and tanks for the streets and rave outfits, the brand focused its efforts on making the party scene sexier. Next came his Bronze Beats tanning lotion, a no-brainer for for the GTL lifestyle.
The Shore
DelVecchio was chosen in 2009 to be a part of MTV’s “Jersey Shore.” As producers were fascinated with the DJ lifestyle of the soon-to-be reality TV star, Pauly D had aspirations to be something big in the music scene. Although shooting “Jersey Shore” cause DelVecchio to put a hold on his DJ career, he played his cards right and his music career exploded after the show aired. Throughout its seven seasons, DelVecchio has been pulling in an upwards of $100,000 per episode for the reality show. Even though show is in it’s final season, the DJ’s career is far from over.
Superstar DJ
Juggling night gigs for nearly a decade while working days at a car dealership. DelVecchio has worked 132 gigs throughout the past year. Earlier this year the DJ took on residencies at The Hard Rock Hotel and The Palms in Vegas and at Harrah’s in Atlantic City. Currently, he’s working on his first album, and described it to Forbes Magazine as a “David Guetta meets DJ Khaled” sound. DelVecchio earns about $40,000 per show from his gigs. Mixed with being the opening act for Britney Spears‘ Feme Fatale tour, the star has earned $11 million annually, making him the seventh highest paid DJ in the world, according to Forbes.
Air Time
DelVecchio continues to reinforce his fame and his brand with TV time including spin-off series “The Pauly D Project,” appearances in the day-time talk show circuit like Good Morning America and Live! with Kelly and Michael. Along with the appearance in a Miracle Whip ad campaign, there seems to be no bounds for Pauly D. Collaborating with 50 Cent, DelVecchio is also working with the rapper on a line of SMS Audio headphones. He is also signed to the artists’ G-Note records, a label specifically formed for Dance and R&B artists.
Different Kind of Remix
In the spring of this hear the star announced the partnership with Grey Goose co-founder Tom Bruno and Skinnygirl co-founder David Kanbar for the creation of a new beverage, REMIX pre-game cocktails.
