BAD KIDS GO TO HELL (12-7-12) Six private school high school kids find themselves stuck in detention on a frightfully dark and stormy Saturday afternoon. During their 8 hour incarceration, each of the six kids falls victim to a horrible “accident” until only one of them remains. And as each of these spoiled rich kids bites the dust, the story takes on a series of humorous and frantic twists and turns. Is one of the kids secretly evening the school’s social playing field? Or have the ghosts of prestigious Crestview Academy finally come to punish the school’s worst (and seemingly untouchable) brats? One thing is for sure… Daddy’s money can’t save them now.

JACK THE GIANT SLAYER (3-1-13) Jack the Giant Slayer tells the story of an ancient war that is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack (Nicholas Hoult) into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend–and gets the chance to become a legend himself.

 

 

SNITCH (2-22-13) Dwayne Johnson stars as a father whose son is wrongly arrested for selling illegal narcotics. To save his son from a lengthy prison term, the father agrees to go undercover as a drug dealer with the gang his son was involved with. But when the father suddenly rises high in the gang’s hierarchy and then is offered a chance to be part of the inner circle of a vast drug cartel, the stakes get a lot higher.

 

 

MOBIUS (2-27-13) Moïse, the leader of an elite FSB (ex-KGB) unit, is in London on the trail of a powerful oligarch suspected of money laundering. His team bullies Alice, a smart young trader operating way over her limit, into working for Moïse. Alice soon realizes the potential for profit in playing both sides so everybody wins, but Moïse becomes convinced she will blow her cover and put her life in danger. He decides to do what no spymaster should ever do – make direct contact with his agent. KILLING THEM SOFTLY (11-30-12) Adapted from George V. Higgins’ novel and set in New Orleans, Killing Them Softly follows professional enforcer Jackie Cogan (Brad Pitt), who investigates a heist that occurs during a high-stakes, mob-protected poker game. The film also features Scoot McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn, Ray Liotta, Richard Jenkins, with James Gandolfini, Vincent Curatola, Max Casella, and Sam Shepard.

 

 

I GIVE IT A YEAR (TBD 2013) Since they met at a party, ambitious high-flyer Nat (Rose Byrne) and struggling novelist Josh (Rafe Spall) have been deliriously happy despite their differences. Josh is a thinker, Nat’s a doer, he’s lasses faire and she’s quite anal… but the spark between them is undeniable. Their wedding is a dream come true, but family, friends and even the minister who marries them aren’t convinced that they can last. LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED (TBD 2013) LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED is a new film by Oscar winner Susanne Bier, written by Bier and Anders Thomas Jensen and starring Pierce Brosnan and Trine Dyrholm. Philip, an Englishman living in Denmark, is a lonely, middle-aged widower and estranged single father. Ida is a Danish hairdresser, recuperating from chemotherapy, who has just learned that her husband is leaving her for a woman half his age from the accounts department. The fates of these two bruised souls are about to intertwine as they embark for Italy to attend the wedding of his son, Patrick, to her daughter, Astrid. With warmth, affection and confidence, Susanne Bier has shaken a cocktail of love, loss, absurdity, humour and delicately drawn characters that will leave only the hardest heart untouched. It is a film about the simple yet profound pains and joys of moving on – and forward – with your life.
