Check out “DUOS” this Weekend!

Sam Carter is no stranger to Beyond the Marquee, we met Sam a few years back at the 3B Art Show at Gallery 1988 here in Los Angeles and were blown away by some of his Pop Art creations (including one particular Back to the Future themed piece). Since then, Sam has become a friend to BTM and even has contributed an article here and there to our site. Well now we’re proud to announce that this weekend Sam Carter is having his first solo art show “DUOS” down in the OC (thats Orange County for local Californians) on June 1st and we’ve got the details below, PLUS…enter our contest to win a very cool original piece of art signed by Sam himself! What a way to kick off the weekend!

Throughout the history of Television and Film there is no denying that we have seen our share of some dynamic duos on the tube and on the big screen. Pop artist Sam Carter has spotlighted 69 of some of the most classic characters and created some unique works of art of these infamous duos and on June 1st down in Santa Ana all will be showcased to appreciate and to purchase. The ones displayed will be going for only $35, they apparently have a 1″ thick wooden 6″x6″ stand off for hanging, or you can just purchase your favorite print for $25. A great investment to think about for a friend or family member to give a cool piece of original art work from one (or in this case two) of their favorite characters!

Sam tells us that on opening night he will have the 69 Duos on display, and only 1 limited edition print available for each that night. But all will be available on line. Including an awesome print that contains them all (see below).

Admission is FREE and if you get hungry there’s even going to be a food truck nearby.

There will also be a back room that will have a “in retrospect” collection of a bunch of Sam’s Pop Art from past shows.
