Exit – Tuesdays at 10/9c on Syfy

Last night was the World Premiere of EXIT on the SyFy Channel, the first of six episodes that showcases four teams of competitors as they race against time to solve challenges and puzzles in four different rooms. Beyond the Marquee has the Exclusive post-episode interview with recording artist and model Heather Reicher (aka Kid Cadet) who along with her friend Chris who not only were contestants on the show, but walked away the winners…banking $10,000!!! BTM: So Heather, how did you hear about the casting of the show EXIT?

HR: I randomly received an email about a brand new show casting in Orlando and I knew I had to go for it! My partner on the show, Chris, always expressed that he, too, wanted to compete on a game show! The audition was a lot of fun, the casting director loved our personalities and confidence and thought we were a perfect fit for the show… and obviously we’re super glad that they picked us!

BTM: For those who haven’t seen the show, give us an idea what it’s about…

HR: EXIT is based on a Japanese game show called DERO! 4 teams of 2 compete in rooms answering trivia questions and puzzles and one couple is eliminated after each room until only one team remains! The final pair get the chance to win $10,000!

BTM: Having watched the show, I have to say, I think I was squirming the most in anticipation for you guys in the BEAM ROOM, tell me about that challenge…

HR: The BEAM ROOM was totally terrifying! We had to answer questions based on pictures.. for example, a Tie, a person tanning, and Nicholas Cage= TI-TAN-NIC.. all of this while standing on small beams above a bottomless pit! For every second that passes, the beams retract into the wall until eventually, well, you fall into the dark abyss! It was scary to see the first team fall! But we knew we made it to the next round!

BTM: Which room was your favorite?

HR: My favorite room was the SAND ROOM! This was our second to last room and we were knee deep in 7 tons of sand! I don’t think people realize how difficult a trivia question can be when you’re in a high stress situation!.. but I feel this was the room that Chris and I got to show off our top-notch trivia skills!

BTM: What was the clutch question that helped you win the room?

HR: I think we had it from the start when I was able to answer MARK ZUCKERBERG only on the second trivia clue! Everyone was shocked!

BTM: What was the final room like?

HR: The final room, the CABIN ROOM, was terrifying, mostly because we had to answer questions while the ceiling was being lowered! We got tripped on THE LOGS when we had to figure out 4 THINGS YOUNGER THAN LARRY KING.. and we were pretty sure EVERYTHING is younger than Larry King! We wasted about 7 of our 10 minutes in the room trying to figure out which logs contained the right answers. By the end of it, the ceiling was so low that we were flat on our stomachs! But we still managed to win! And now Chris and I are $10,000 richer!!!

BTM: What do you plan to do with the money?

HR: Chris and I definitely want to travel and I’ve never been out of the country… I think we’re might consider going to Greece!
