Johnny Depp’s “Tonto” Costume – The Lone Ranger

There is much anticipation nationwide today for the release of Walt Disney Studios; The Lone Ranger. Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer star as the legendary wild west duo of “Tonto” the Indian and the Masked Man himself. Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Directed by Gore Verbinski, at almost 2 and a 1/2 hours, this film is full of non-stop action and comedy!

If you love costumes and props and live in the Southern California area, then with your paid admission to see The Lone Ranger this weekend at the ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood, you can also check out some actual costumes on display from the film. From the classic heroes to our new favorite heroine of the film played by Helena Bonham Carter, you’ll be able to get up close to examine the detail in the fabrics, patterns and weathering of these costumes for the big screen.

Costume designer Penny Rose truly captured the look and feel of the old west, maintaining the Lone Ranger mythos, yet breathing some fresh air and color into the characters of this world.
