DOCTOR WHO 50TH CELEBRATION WEEKEND

The BBC better hope that the EXCEL Convention Center in London is bigger on the inside, because as of this morning, the 3 day Doctor Who 50th Celebration Weekend is SOLD OUT!!! Held over the 50th anniversary weekend of November 22, 23 and 24, the stars (and monsters) from Doctor Who welcome fans from around the world into a universe of adventure when the birthday bash for the BBC’s longest running sci-fi series hits it’s 5 decade mark. If you missed your chance to grab tickets don’t worry, Beyond the Marquee will be on hand for all 3 days of the event, with our own resident Whovian, 5 yr. old Lindalee Rose taking you behind the scenes at the convention. She’ll be chatting it up with not just some of the show’s biggest fans but interviewing the biggest stars of the famed sci-fi series as well!!! DOCTOR WHO 50TH CELEBRATION WEEKEND

We are thrilled that current Doctor – Matt Smith – will attend the official anniversary Celebration at ExCeL, London, alongside special guests confirmed so far: Tom Baker, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy, who have also played the iconic role of the Doctor.

Included in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity weekend are panel sessions with stars from five decades of space and time travel – and incredible behind-the-scenes information from the production team and crew who’ve been bringing the magic to our screens for fifty fabulous years.

Fancy blowing something up? Well you won’t be needing any Nitro-9 – SFX wizard Danny Hargreaves will be putting on a special show for all attendees, while the stunts team from the show will guide you through performing some stunts of your own!

If scaring your friends into hiding behind the sofa is more your style, The Doctor Who Experience will be presenting Walk Like a Monster workshops every day. Not scary enough for you? Well design your OWN monster with the artists and team from the official Doctor Who magazine, Doctor Who Adventures.

There’ll also be opportunities to hear from the cast and crew of the original run of Doctor Who, special quizzes, and a unique opportunity to get your hands on exclusive Celebration merchandise.

The Doctor Who Celebration is a must for the whole family to celebrate their love of all things Doctor Who, with an exciting range of activities to suit all ages. Keep your eyes peeled for further announcements of other high profile guests in the coming weeks.

Visitors to the Celebration will also have the opportunity to visit signature and photo booths where they can meet their heroes from 50 years of Doctor Who (photos with Matt Smith should be booked in advance via the website). These opportunities will be available at a fee and subject to availability.
