If you’re headed down to San Diego this weekend, or down there already for Comic-Con 2013, keep your eyes peeled for our Beyond the Marquee field team on the floor of the convention, on Saturday the 20th. In addition to taking in the sights of the latest toys, movies, tv shows, comic books and more, our BTM Comic-Con correspondants Lindsay Stanley and Leslie Crystal will be roaming the massive convention room floor shooting a segment for an upcoming episode of our hit web-series. If you spot our awesome crew, please be sure to stop by and say hello and jump on camera to answer some questions if you have the time. Click ahead to see some of Lindsay and Leslies on-the-spot interviews from last years Comic Con, and revist our post about our presence within the Mattel booth in 2012, when their Back to the Future replica prop hoverboards debuted and our BTM web-series segments were showcased.
One of our proudest moments thus far in our nearly 2 years running Beyond the Marquee was that we were given the honor to showcase our Exclusive Hoverboard videos at the MATTEL booth during 2012’s Comic-Con in San Diego. As part of the MattyCollector.com booth display showcasing the Hoverboard replicas, Beyond the Marquee’s episodes covering the design effort that went into making the boards played continously on a televised loop. With over 130,000 attendee’s at the SOLD OUT event, that was a lot of exposure for Beyond the Marquee and we we’re thrilled! CLICK HERE to see the full post…
Besides having two of our most highest-trafficked web-series episodes shown at the MATTEL Matty Collector booth, we managed to squeeze in a day to get a crew down to the sold-out, 4-day event to meet many of our fans and establish a presence amongst the hundreds of thousands of attendees. Guest Reporter Leslie Crystal, one of the stars of Felicia Day’s Award-winning web series about a group of online gamers called; The Guild, took to the convention floor. She chatted it up with some of the costumed guests who came out to unleash their inner-fan for some of their favorite television, film and animated entertainment properties.
Also on the floor was BTM Reporter, Lindsay Stanley, who took a few minutes to talk to some cos-players who were in attendance at this years pop-culture event. (TRIVIA: In this segment Lindsay interviews cosplayer Kat Sheridan, a big Beyond the Marquee fan at the time who later joined the BTM staff and went on to start hosting her own segments for the site) Check it all out here …
