This latest rendition of his pugilist-inspired acting endeavors pits them against none other than Robert De Niro. For those of you who thought that Stallone’s boxing days were behind him, think again! This exciting comedy is set to explode into cinemas on Christmas Day 2013. Billed as the battle of the heavyweights – 30 years later – Grudge Match certainly pits two of Hollywood’s most iconic actors against one another, like never before. A Boxer’s Pedigree

Most everybody is familiar with the Rocky saga, but fewer people are aware of the fact that Robert De Niro starred in Raging Bull several decades ago. His was the story of angst, depression, and psychopathy. It appears as if these two Italian stallions have decided to share the big screen together one more time (recall Cop Land with De Niro and Stallone?). This exciting comedy was directed by Peter Segal and written by Rodney Rothman and Tim Kelleher. The list of Hollywood A-list actors is impressive and includes the likes of Kim Basinger, Kevin Hart, Alan Arkin, Nicole Andrews, and Jon Bernthal.  The genre of film is a comedy sport, and there’s plenty of entertainment value in this 113 min. encounter.

The film tells the fictional tale of Razor and Kid – two fighters who have fought one another twice in their career. Event organizers seek to bring these two fighters back into the ring for a Grudge Match. Initially thoughts of creating a video game for kids to play come to mind, but soon that idea is complemented with an actual boxing match between these two former greats. Soon, an offer of $100,000 is made to get the two fighters in the ring together. The movie was filmed in New Orleans Louisiana and cost an estimated $40 million. With families out in full force over the festive season, this exciting flick is sure to resonate with fans across the board.
