Lady and the Tramp: Diamond Edition now on BluRay and DVD
As a Disney fan and a fairly recent father of two girls, the recent release of Walt Disney Home Video’s Lady and the Tramp Diamond Edition was a welcome release this past week in our home. One may wonder how a conversion to BluRay from DVD can make a difference in picture and sound quality from a film made over 50 years ago? Well I can’t say I understand the technical process, so I’ll just credit good old-fashioned Disney magic on this one, but I have to admit, we hands down loved it. We spent our recent Saturday afternoon watching this latest re-release on our BluRay and felt like we were watching the movie again for the first time. The picture was the sharpest and cleanest I’ve ever seen it, and as a Disney fan I’ve owned every copy of Lady and the Tramp from VHS, Laserdisc and DVD that have been sold. The sound mix thru my 5.1 surround-sound brought the film to life in ways I’d never imagined. If you love heart warming family films, animated Disney Classics, adorable talking dogs, and most of all romance, then hands down this is the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for someone you love this year!
And now, here’s the technical and special features offered on this combo pack which conveniently includes a BluRay copy, one on DVD (this went right into my wife’s car for the kids to watch during the week on the way to pre-school), and a digital copy (which gets downloaded to our iPad for trips and situations where we need to keep the girls occupied).
