“Hey, you want a toothpick?” The posters of DRIVE.

DRIVE

It’s been a great 12 months for movies. The Help, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Artist, The Iron Lady, Senna, Shame… the list is endless but for me one movie stands out from the rest.
Drive.

A movie based around a getaway driver is not exactly a new concept, if fact that synopsis alone is enough to make the most ardent of movie fans switch off before its even started but Drive isnt like other movies. Drive is cool.

Official Drive Movie Poster

The 80’s style credits, the neon pink logo, the stylish music, the location, the cast, the storyline, the way in which Ryan Gosling’s character can say so much by saying so little, the whole package just oozes cool and unlike so many other modern movies, Drive has a brilliant poster to go with it. Not only that, but it has also inspired some of the best fan art Ive ever witnessed. There haven’t been many other movies in recent years that have provoked such a creative response from the arts community, but Drive has captured the imagination of everyone. Established artists such as Ken Taylor lead the way with his Drive print for Mondo, but he isnt the only one. Below are some of the best from the net for your consideration. Which is your favourite? Are there any I have missed? Feel free to leave a comment!
