CONTEST: WIN Some Out-of-This-World JOHN CARTER Promotional SWAG!!!

BTM-THARKWEEK

You may have heard of “Shark Week” but here on Beyond the Marquee we’ve got ‘Thark Week”! Yes those race of alien inhabitants on the planet Barsoom (aka MARS) are pretty cool and can be seen in the new Walt Disney Pictures adventure; JOHN CARTER, which opens up this Friday and is directed by Andrew Stanton. In celebration we’re giving away a Martian prize-pack the next few days leading up to the release which includes a t-shirt from the World Premiere, a metal medallion keychain, collectible medallion paper-weight, a set of trading cards and even the motion picture soundtrack (by Michael Giacchino).

A Princess of MARS, the Novel

Thark Week Prizes

For those unfamiliar with the story, the original tale of John Carter (the 1st book in a large series of stories was entitled “A Princess of Mars”) is actually celebrating it’s 100th birthday this year and has been referred to as the science fiction catalyst which went on to inspire the great writers, visionaries and directors who brought us the worlds and characters of such pop-culture phenomenons as Star Wars, Superman, Avatar, Flash Gordon and Star Trek.

The Contest: In the film John Carter is transported across space and time to another world. We want to know if you could travel anywhere in space or time where or when would you go, and why?

Just shoot us a few lines to mail@beyondthemarquee.com, it can be clever, funny or thought provoking. The contest begins Wednesday March 7th at 12:00pm (PST) and continues thru Friday March 9th 12:00pm (PST).

One entry will be chosen randomly each day and awarded a John Carter prize pack. Only one entry per house-hold please. Winners will be notified by end of day this Friday.

Thanks to Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures National Promotions, Theatrical Distribution and Walt Disney Records for all the goodies!

Good Luck!
