A newly released first look image for Disney’s THE LONE RANGER was tweeted on Thursday by producer Jerry Bruckheimer from the set of The Lone Ranger currently shooting in New Mexico

THE LONE RANGER stars Tonto (Johnny Depp), a spirit warrior on a personal quest who joins forces in a fight for justice with John Reid (Armie Hammer), a lawman who has become a masked avenger.

For fans of the old school Lone Ranger starring Jay Silverheels (Tonto) and Clayton Moore (the Lone Ranger) this version is rumored to be more dramatic and more action packed than the  TV show which found it’s popularity in the 1950’s.

THE LONE RANGER will be released in May 2013.
