April 11th the under a clear and cool Los Angeles night, HOLLYWOOD Blvd shut down for the World Premiere of the new Marvel film; THE AVENGERS. I was present on the Red Carpet for all the festivities and snapped a few pics documenting my journey along the way that night to share with our Beyond the Marquee readers. Take a look as the Avengers Assembled!!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 
I had a 4:45pm call-time this Wednesday afternoon. I was working with the Disney Marketing and Publicity team today as a miscellaneous talent wrangler for the World Premiere of Marvel’s “the Avengers”. Essentially all the major A-listers had their reps or designated high-profile Disney handlers escorting them, but when any other celebs showed up and needed walking down the red carpet to various media outlets for interviews, the MTW’s were there!

 

Here’s a view of the entrance to the Red Carpet. It was covered because earlier in the day the skies were cloudy, we had rain the night before and they did not want to take any chances.

 

This is the “step and repeat” background, this serves as a colorful and pictureseque backdrop for all the paparazzi photos you’ll see in next week’s tabloid magazines of the stars who attended the premiere.

 

The El Capitan theater served as the host for the premiere and ran a LIVE feed from the event into the theater for all those who arrived early to still see all the excitement going on outside while they got settled into their seats.

 

Here’s a reporter from “Electric Playground” doing a stand-up intro before the premiere kicks off. It’s customary for hosts/reporters to do their opens and closes ON the red carpet usually early on or right after the premiere for their packages. The rest of the time they are corralled behind the metal pens hoping to get that one interview that will highlight their piece.

 

And speaking of, here are the pen of Papparzzi still photogs who work for various print media outlets (magazines, newspapers, on-line news sites, etc)

 

ACURA was a proud sponsor  of the film and all the S.H.I.E.L.D.  vehicles seen in the movie are ACURAS (product placement helps pay for the film!)

 

At the end of the Red Carpet was the big stage where all the stars would eventually assemble for a big photo op!

 

Another sponsor of tonight’s event, Dr.Pepper gave out sodas and water to cast, crew and all those working the event. It get’s hot under all those lights trust me!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fans lined up and down Hollywood Blvd for a chance to meet and greet any of the stars. These folks here probably had the best spot in the entire surroundings of the premiere because the town cars and limos dropped off all the celebs right in fornt of them and the stars all gravitated immediately to the fans to sign autographs and take pics.

 

For those of us talent escorts, this was a cheat sheet of the main attendees of the night, this helps you recognize the actors and filmmakers in case you have to walk them down, or in case we’re given the task to track one of them down for a photo shoot or interview.

 

Harley Davidson was a big sponsor of tonight’s premiere and as the cast entered, they signed this custom made print of the Avengers characters.

 

Here’s a shot of Robert Downey Jr on the Red Carpet as seen from the official cameras covering the event and feeding the screens with fun up close coverage for all to see!

 

All the AVENGERS cast assemble together for the customary huge group picture with the filmmakers and Execs (from Disney and Marvel)

 

As the cast and filmmakers head into the theater, all the publicity and marketing team grab some quick shots of each other around the carpet before the production crews come in and dismantle it all.

 

I’ve never ridden a Harley, what a monster of a machine.

 

And at this point my cell phone battery was about to die, but just in time to capture this little video  of the Avengers cast role-call.

 

Take it from me, the movie is AWESOME!!! 9 out of 10 stars, the acting, the effects, the cinematography, the action, the mythology, the comic-book FUN you’d hope to find in the Avengers is there! See it May 4th in theaters everywhere!!!
