It’s been great to watch Chevy Chase over the past few years reprise the Clark W Griswold chracter along with his wife Ellen (Beverly D’Angelo) in commercials that keep the National Lampoon Vacation movies alive and current. So now, what a treat to see him and some of the Griswolds and their extended family back for the holidays in the new Old Navy ad for Pop Pants. According to the YouTube video description; This holiday season, Old Navy is bringing in the Griswolds to help you decorate your whole family in colorful Pop Pants! Wear bright all the way with Adults $19 and Kids $15 at Old Navy. Come fun, come all! Valid 11/25/12-12/8/12. Select Styles only. Pop Pants do not actually change color. US Only. Nice to see Juliette Lewis back, as it’s notorious in the films for the Griswold kids (Audrey and Rusty) to always be played by different actors. Something fun also to be had with Martin Short providing the narration…had Steve Martin made a cameo, it would have made for a nice Three Amigos reunion!

Now I’m not entirely sure why, but there’s an identical hispanic version of this ad, same set, different cast and the same gags. Perhaps these are popular Latin American actors, though I’m note certain why they are parodying the Christmas Vacation version of the ad, but regardless…check it out below.
