Last Labor Day weekend, an unexpected occurrence happened, a father who shared watching BBCs Doctor Who, one of his favorite sci-fi TV programs with his young daughter, recorded her talking about the most recent episode they’d just viewed together. What happened next, no one could have predicted. Shortly after Season 7’s premiere episode of “Asylum of the Daleks”, little 4 1/2 year old Lindalee Rose excitedly recapped the episode for her parents on the family video camera and we here at Beyond the Marquee were offered the edited video a couple days later to post up on our site exclusively. Little did we know that Steven Moffat, the Executive Producer for Doctor Who would stumble upon the video and by the end of the week, retweet it to all his 400K fans on Twitter, from there Lindalee Rose suddenly became an overnight viral sensation on the web. Her YouTube video skyrocketed with hits and Whovians were thirsty for more. One year later we celebrate over 2 dozen videos she’s created for us here at BTM and look back at some of the highlights from her out of this world adventures thus far, and get a sneak peek of whats to come in the future, just read ahead. Congrats Lindalee!

Closed Circuit a Terrorist Tale (Film Review)
August 30th, 2013
John Delia
This cat and mouse thriller takes a startling twist as it weaves a tale of terrorism and trust in the film Closed Circuit. The story rules the feature with compelling writing under the direction of John Crowley. It plays out like a John Grisham novel with edge of your seat suspense and tense courtroom drama. The fine acting keeps the characters smart and intense on their way to the fascinating conclusion.
Getaway, An Action Attraction (Film Review)
August 30th, 2013
John Delia
Burning rubber for nearly 90 minutes the movie Getaway slams into theaters this weekend. It’s not Fast and Furious or even a remake of The Getaway, but a script that emulates films like Bullet, Drive and a myriad of car chase films. It’s non-stop action from the word go, pushing the tachometer into the red allowing only a few times for the audience to catch their breath. When I tell you it’s like watching the Daytona 500 in city traffic with a close-up lens you won’t have to be a race fan to get the idea real quick.
The Artist and the Model, A Stunning Movie (Film Review)
August 30th, 2013
John Delia
One of the most stunning films this year turns out to be foreign and in black and white, but the charming, beautiful, sweet and convincing story out shines anything else. It’s called The Artist and the Model with brilliant performances that draw you into a window of the past where World War II takes a pause and sparks a different kind of love story. The generous and giving movie leaves the viewer with both heartfelt and grievous wonderment.
THE LIFEGUARD Sinks and Swims (Film Review)
August 28th, 2013
Lady Kiwi Bbbbrrrrrrr Kiwi Lady Here! It’s Winter down under in New Zealand and The Lifeguard, starring Kristen Bell looked like just the Summery flick to warm me up. Written and Directed by Liz Garcia, I was expecting a light-hearted, romantic, chick-flick comedy. Movies about women turning 30 or 40 are usually a big hit for me, but boy was I in for a surprise! Yeah, yeah I read the synopsis and watched the trailer, but it doesn’t give you the dark details. More…
