We Go Beyond the Marquee to Entertain Our Troops in Afghanistan
April 8th, 2013
Beyond the Marquee As we have reported in the past, Jon Donahue has been guest hosting for his friend, actor Keith Coogan, on the entertainment internet radio show; “The Call Sheet” (sponsored by Beyond the Marquee). In the past few weeks since Jon has been hosting the show, he has welcomed guests like Elizabeth Hanks, and Braeden Lemasters from ‘Men of a Certain Age” and his band The FEAVER. “The Call Sheet” airs LIVE on Saturday nights at 8pm PST, and takes phone calls from it’s fans and listeners. This past Saturday, Jon and his co-hosts were taken aback by a long-distance phone call from Afghanistan! Joshua Thomas, (PFC) Private First Class in the Manchu Unit, 2nd infantry division, 9th infantry regiment phoned the show to say hello to his old Universal Studios co-worker and “The Call Sheet” co-host, Robert Armour. Joshua told Robert later that he and his regiment had listened to the show via loudspeaker! What an honor to be able to entertain our troops abroad and we all wish them a speedy and safe return home.
