No 4 1/2 year old reviewer for the hit BBC television show Doctor Who should ever be un-prepared for what the universe throws her way. Luckily Lindalee Rose has her Sonic Screwdriver and now a kid-sized TARDIS of her very own to aide her in her adventures. Our good friend Brandon Gabriel and his team over at Midnight Oil Creative in Burbank, CA (who are all huge fans of Lindalee’s Doctor Who reviews on Beyond the Marquee) decided that something was missing from her web-series and decided to get together to build Lindalee her very own TT Type 40, Mark 3 (aka Time-Traveling Spacecraft) just like on the show. Midnight Oil Creative is a leader in motion-picture and home-entertainment marketing; designing and creating posters, in-theater displays, outdoor advertising, promotional and branding services, video game merchandising, interactive social media stunts and more for the Hollywood Entertainment industry, so who else better to construct a sturdy corrugated cardboard one-of-a-kind replica of the Doctor’s own blue Police Call Box than these guys? With the return of Doctor Who in just a few days for the much anticipated Christmas Special Lindalee cannot wait to review “the Snowmen” episode for all her fans! Click ahead to see the before and after pics of the TARDIS and let us know what you think of hers.

Beyond the Marquee
Jack Reacher, an Edgy Mystery Thriller (Film Review)
December 20th, 2012
John Delia
Back again in a taught mystery drama, the ever popular Tom Cruise takes on the Lee Child novel “One Shot” in the title role of Jack Reacher. Expecting a bold action thriller, slow moving suspense filled Jack Reacher doesn’t come near the entertainment of Cruse’s action filled bread and butter Mission Impossible franchise. While my expectations were dampened because I believed it would be like the glitzy fast moving television trailer, I wasn’t completely disappointed. Like most movie franchises, the first one has to begin somewhere.
Beyond the Marquee: The Web Series (Episode 36) : June Foray’s Animated Life
December 20th, 2012
Beyond the Marquee For legendary voice actress, June Foray, everyday life can be very animated … and we’re not exaggerating when we say that! 95 years young, Foray continues to be an active presence in the world of voice-over work in Hollywood. Chances are very likely that you’ve heard her at some point in your lifetime whether it be on radio, television, movies or even your playroom as a kid … and you probably didn’t even know it. She has given voice to a multitude of favorite animated characters ranging from Lucifer the Cat in Walt Disney’s Cinderella to Granny in the Sylvester and Tweety Looney Tunes shorts to Rocky the Flying Squirrel in the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. Throw in several Hanna-Barbera characters, some beloved Christmas specials, a voice appearance in JAWS (yep!), a spot on an early episode of The Simpsons and even a presence as the voice of the famed Chatty Cathy doll, and you’ll just be scratching the surface of some of June Foray’s work throughout the years.

Check out the new Character Poster for OZ: The Great and Powerful
December 18th, 2012
Beyond the Marquee Walt Disney Studios have released an awesome looking one-sheet of the Wicked Witch in director Sam Raimi’s upcoming OZ: The Great and Powerful. Though shadowed enough to hide her bad ass identity, our suspicions are that it’s either Mila Kunis or Rachel Weisz! We saw some really awesome posters showcasing the world of Oz recently and now we’re getting a glimpse at the main baddie herself. I’d like to say this poster looks Wicked, but then I might be infringing on some sort of legal copyright (laughs). OZ: The Great and Powerful releases in theaters on March 8, 2013! What do you think of this poster? Are you excited for the film? Click ahead to see a larger version and share your comments on it below…
