Dark Shadows, the new Tim Burton movie based on the old TV series, is soap opera with a supernatural twist. All the soap tropes are present — lies, affairs, murders — but the Ewings and Carringtons have been replaced by vampires and werewolves. If anything can make me a fan of soap opera this should be it, right? We’ll see.

Fue un programa verdaderamente revolucionario en su tiempo y tal vez por eso, no llegó a pasarse en toda América Latina sino sólo en algunos países, bajo el sugerente título de “Sombras tenebrosas”. Pero donde se vio, al igual que en Estados Unidos, generó furor, demostrando que el público estaba interesado en ver cosas que se alejaran de lo habitual. Es que si bien pertenecía al formato tradicional de la telenovela norteamericana, que se emitía de lunes a viernes con una hora de duración, Don Curtis, su imaginativo creador, se atrevió a hacer de todo. Por empezar, el personaje que se volvería un favorito de los televidentes, el vampiro Barnabás Collins, apareció recién en el episodio 210, pero además, la serie que contaba la vida cotidiana en la mansión de los Collins incorporó seres fantásticos que no solían verse en televisión entre 1966 y 1971, los años que se produjo “Dark Shadows” en Estados Unidos.

May 9th, 2012 John Delia Taunting the audience with trailers that promise a quirky horror flick with a lot of cool ghouls, wacky witchery and comedic moments the movie Dark Shadows delivers. Using Johnny Depp to his utmost bizarre performance capabilities the film gives it’s all for fans of his past legendary roles like Edward Scissorhands, Sweeny Todd, Willy Wonka, Mad Hatter, and Jack Sparrow. This time however, he’s really gone off the deep end with a deliciously delectable portrayal of Barnabas Collins, a childish vampire.

The Avengers 2 is COMING!!!
Yes Virginia there WILL be an Avengers Sequel! With a Worldwide Box Office tally in only 2 weeks of over $700 Million dollars, the question wasn’t a matter of “if” but “when” for another sequel to one of the most successful movies of all-time, Marvel’s The Avengers! Well today during a conference call with analysts to discuss quarterly earnings, Disney Chairman Bob Iger made the announcement that a sequel was in preparation, hopefully Josh Whedon will take the helm again. We can’t wait for the Avengers to Assemble once more!!!
