Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever

Just when you thought we’ve reached the pinnacle of heartwarming and adorable holiday movies, we are graced with the all new, soon to be the next Christmas classic; Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever.

Yes, internet sensation, Grumpy Cat, makes her debut (voiced by Aubrey Plaza), in Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever, arriving on DVD December 16 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment.

In this feline sensation’s first movie, Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever, lonely Grumpy Cat lives in a mall pet shop where she never gets chosen by customers. Because she always gets passed over, this kitty develops a very sour outlook on life until…one day during the holidays, a very special 12-year-old girl named Chrystal enters the pet store and falls in love with Grumpy. The two form a special friendship when Chrystal discovers she is the only person who can hear this feline talk. Will Grumpy Cat finally learn the true meaning of Christmas, or will it be, in Grumpy’s words, the “Worst. Christmas. Ever.”?

Get ready for some “Frozen Fun”

Well if you thought the Disney’s animated film “Frozen” hype was anywhere close to dying down and phasing itself out a year later…you were sadly mistaken. And with the biggest animated hit and merchandising blitz in decades, the one thing the Walt Disney Company cannot easily do is “Let it Go”.

If you live in the Southern California area or plan on visiting the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim anytime soon, here are some new changes happening to the parks you may be interested to know about.

So just as soon as the Christmas decorations are down, the wintery festiveness will linger on as the Disneyland Resort celebrates the opening of spectacular new “Frozen Fun” beginning Wednesday, January 7, 2015, featuring magical adventures with characters from the Walt Disney Animation Studios’ blockbuster film. Guests at Disney California Adventure Park can meet Anna and Elsa in a new location, sing along with the Frozen soundtrack, play in the snow, meet Olaf the snowman and “chill out” at a nighttime family dance party.

A sneak peek of many of the live experiences begins Saturday, December 20, in Disney California Adventure and a new Frozen-themed show opens in Disneyland Park January 7, 2015. “FrozenFun” continues for a limited time at Disney California Adventure.

On December 20, Anna and Elsa will relocate from their Fantasyland greeting area in Disneyland to a roomier new home, “Anna & Elsa’s Royal Welcome,” inside the Disney Animation building in Disney California Adventure Park. Additional new Frozen experiences in the Hollywood Land area of the park include For the First Time in Forever, a Frozen sing-along celebration in the newly dubbed Crown Jewel Theatre; the immersive “Olaf’s Snow Fest” featuring snow play, music, food and Olaf himself; and an after-dark offering, “Freeze the Night! A Family Dance Party.”

MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Episode 2.09: …Ye Who Enter Here (T.V. review)

SHIELD-season-2-banner

…Ye Who Enter Here, the title of this week’s episode, alludes to the warning at hell’s entrance, “abandon all hope, ye who enter here,” as depicted in Dante’s The Divine Comedy.

In this case, “hell” is most likely the ancient alien city that S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra have been searching for. Or it could refer to the hell on earth that Whitehall will unleash should he find the city first. Or maybe it’s a synergistic nod to Pirates of The Caribbean, owned by A.B.C. parent company Disney Studios. Regardless, it brings our heroes closer to unraveling this season’s mysteries, the least of… which is…

Alright, wait a sec. Enough of this.

I can’t believe I just mentioned The Divine Comedy in a review about a so-called “comic book show.” And in my opening paragraph, no less!

The Homesman, a Captivating Drama of the Old West (Film Review)

So you’re not into the western genre? How about calling this movie a very compelling drama that takes place in the 1800’s west. Still not excited about seeing the film? Top it off with a stellar cast, an original story line and actors that give Oscar worthy performances. Titled The Homesman, it’s Tommy Lee Jones’ first attempt at directing and he makes the film an excellent story of early Americana.
