If you’re visiting Southern California in the near future or happen to live in the Burbank area, just after sundown glance over at Warner Bros. Studios and you may catch a sight of the Bat-Signal. Shining brightly, the infamous signal is visible from dusk till dawn nightly on the side of historic Sound Stage 16 (tallest on the Warner Bros. lot and cinematic birthplace of Batman Returns (1992), Batman Forever (1995) and Batman & Robin (1997).

Rumor has it that the signal can be seen from multiple locations in Burbank and even from Universal City. The Bat-Signal heralds the recently-announced extension of the Batman Exhibit which can only be seen by taking the Warner Bros.VIP Studio Tour. The exhibit runs through to the end of the year.

In addition, the Warner Bros. VIP Studio Tour Batman Exhibit in the Warner Bros. VIP Studio Tour Center adds the newly designed Cape and Cowl worn by Ben Affleck in director Zack Snyder’s upcoming film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (which is slated for release in March 2016). It will be displayed along with various Batman costumes that were showcased during last month’s San Diego Comic-Con.

[VIDEO] Lindalee Rose at the Doctor Who BBC America World Tour Event in New York City (Pt.1)

Beyond the Marquee’s Resident Whovian, 6 year old Lindalee Rose was on hand at the famous Ziegfeld Theater in New York City for BBC America’s 2014 World Tour Fan Screening Premiere Event of Season 8 of Doctor Who.

Beaming with excitement and with questions well prepared, Lindalee chatted it up not only with the latest regeneration of our favorite time-lord; Peter Capaldi, but also fellow traveling companion, Clara, played by Jenna Coleman, the show’s Executive Producer Steven Moffat and the Nerdist’s own Chris Hardwick who emceed the nights events.

Watch as Lindalee puts her name in the hat when confronting Steven Moffat about taking over for Jenna Coleman as the next companion, gets a hug backstage from her favorite Soufflé girl Clara herself, and suggests a new catchphrase to the 12th Doctor as he embarks on a new set of adventures.

NOTE: Check back on Saturday, 8/23 for Lindalee’s recap of the premiere episode of “Deep Breath” as she reviews the episode with fellow Whovians who were in attendance that evening as well. And in the weeks to come look for more questions with Lindalee and the Season 8 cast related to future episodes of the show!

WHAT IF poster

“What If” Romance with a Twist (Film Review)

Light and fun, the movie What If  opens in theaters as a whimsical tale of romance with comedy.  The theme has been used many times over the years, but this fresh new look at Daniel Radcliffe with Zoe Kazan is a reason to see the plot once more. Its Harry Potter meets Ruby Sparks and the chemistry between the two actors in What If  is off the chart. The film targets ladies that are on the prowl and budding couples that are looking for a good date night.

“Magic in the Moonlight” Woody Returns to Romance (Film Review)

Returning to his romance formula, Woody Allen puts a little enchantment in his newest film, Magic in the Moonlight.  The film has a bewitching cast and the story to match.  Using some interesting twists, that just when you think that Allen has missed the mark and his film’s predictable, the door opens on another chapter.  Maybe it’s not an awards magnet like Midnight in Paris and Hannah and Her Sisters, but a good ‘date flick’ none the less.

The film opens with a magic show in progress featuring the world famous Chinese magician Wei Ling Soo.  The presentation has the audience rapt as a huge elephant comes on the stage.  In a matter of minutes with a wave of misdirection and juxtaposition, poof the elephant disappears to the roar of applause of a gratified audience.  Later back stage we find that Wei Ling Soo is really Stanley Crawford (Colin Firth) who uses the disguise so he may be able to enjoy a private upscale social life.
