The pen is mightier than the sword as proven in WWII when journalist Torgny Segerstedt stood up against the Nazis. The Swedish film, The Last Sentence, tells the true story of a man who defied Hitler and convinced Sweden’s prime minister to not cave in to the evil Nazi Empire that was taking over Scandinavia. Even a greater achievement since his editor was Jewish, this biography holds testament that heroism comes in many ways.

“The Expendables 3” an Explosive Sequel (Film Review)
August 14th, 2014
John Delia Taking a chance on scoring another box office hit, Sylvester Stallone and his notable actors release The Expendables 3. The high energy, explosive action film takes no prisoners with this “no holds barred” battle thriller. Excitement from start to finish, the movie keeps you glued to your seat in this white knuckler that uses more bullets than I’ve seen in a film since, well The Expendables 1 & 2. If you are an action junkie and want to get enough “bang” for your buck, than this film will serve you up a heaping helping.

“Bears” a Stunning Adventure on Blu-ray (Video Review)
August 13th, 2014
John Delia
Breathtaking cinematography captures another Disney Nature feature that compels, mesmerizes and entertains. Now on Blu-ray and DVD the new adventure Bears takes you on a journey that spans a year in the life of these huge animals in Alaska. Nicely directed, amazingly captured on film, courageous and adorable it’s an entertaining film for the whole family.
Powerful vistas open the film starting with snow covered mountains in Alaska where Sky a mother brown bear pops out of her den with two young cubs, Scout and Amber. They were born over the long winter and now Sky has to get her two youngsters to food. But the trek is long and arduous over the snow covered mountains to the lands far below and with Spring upon them there’s danger from avalanche and the slippery slopes.

Lindalee will be on hand for BBC America’s U.S. Premiere Fan Screening of the new 8th season of Doctor Who, part of the Doctor Who World Tour!
Our resident 6 year old Whovian Lindalee will be on-hand tomorrow night for BBC America’s U.S. Premiere Fan Screening of the new 8th Season of Doctor Who, part of the Doctor Who World Tour!
As the world’s youngest Doctor Who reviewer who has been to London and back to interview 6 of the original 11 “Doctors” from the series, as well as over a 1/2 dozen companions, Lindalee couldn’t be more excited about being invited to the special New York event.
When asked for a comment, she simply had to say; “OH-MY-M-G, THAT IS SO AWESOME!!!”
While her new set is being constructed for the return of her Doctor Who Review web-series, her debut episode next week will be combined with her recap of Thursday night’s NYC events. What a way to kick off the new season and maybe even get a chance to chat with the stars themselves; Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman!
Special thanks to our friends at the Nerdist and BBC America for making this all happen.
Check back Friday for pics from the event and we’ll see WHO in New York!
