BTM’s own resident 6 year old Whovian; Lindalee Rose was thrilled to have a chance to check out these continuing adventures of some of her favorite time-lords and gives us a review. Check them out below.

INTO STORM poster

“Into the Storm” Tornado Terror (Film Review)

Reminiscent of the 2011 tornadoes in America that wreaked havoc causing loss of life in many states the film Into the Storm puts the feel of the catastrophic events in your lap. The terrifying depiction of super tornadoes in the movie gets so realistic that I felt myself gasping for air during the height of the storm. Speakers blaring and high definition visuals put the viewer into the action creating an experience that has never been duplicated on the screen. The feeling is like taking a rollercoaster ride and when you have reached the top of the highest point for one instant you are hanging out over the drop. Immediately you plunge toward the ground with the G-forces and wind impacting your body, it’s much like that.

NINJA TURT poster

“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” it’s Just for Kids (Film Review)

The newest reboot of a franchise Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is just for kids.  Dumbing down the story to work on a level of the current cartoon series on Nickelodeon, the characters, although on the dark side, are as goofy and silly as their cable TV counterparts.  Working on two levels, adults may enjoy the action in the finale that has a nicely choreographed chase scene down a snow covered mountain, but aside from that, don’t expect a Guardians of the Galaxy.

It’s the ART of the TARDIS Craft Faire, THIS Saturday in Burbank, CA

Heads up Whovians, this weekend, come pay an ode to Doctor Who‘s Big Blue Box and all those that travel within her. It’s the Clockwork Couture “Art of the TARDIS” Craft Faire on Saturday August 9th from 12-6pm in Burbank, CA.

Over 25 vendors will offer their unique Doctor Who-themed wares, plus food trucks and the music of Awesome City Limits will gather outside L.A.’s finest Steampunk shop. This free, family-friendly event offers coloring pages for the littlest Who fans and a costume contest with Whoriffic prizes. Grab your favorite scarf, bow tie or Sonic Screwdriver and have your photo snapped in a full-size TARDIS or come view the screen-used monsters and props, like a screen used TARDIS console and even a special appearance by a Doctor Who cast member! Total out of this world fun for your inner Gallifreyan awaits.

Click ahead for the event’s address and check out our resident Whovian; Lindalee Roses’ web-series report from the first Art of the TARDIS Craft Faire earlier this year. (Note: Lindalee will be out of town and unable to attend this weekend’s event, shes very bummed!)
