Fans of cancelled shows hope that their programs will follow the comeback patterns of Futurama, Firefly or Arrested Development, but one show in particular, Veronica Mars, about a spunky young detective, has had a lot of pressure riding on Kristen Bell’s petite frame as she returns to her previous role. Why? Because her move from the television set to movie theaters is actually a first in some ways. Within days of its fundraising appeal on Kickstarter, Veronica Mars fans showed astounding enthusiastic interest by fully funding the project. The movie’s writers, then, had some big expectations to meet, since it was integral the film not only delight fans, but also attract new viewers and make the case for a sequel. May the 4th marks the unofficial holiday that STAR WARS fans worldwide use to celebrate the sprawling space saga — a date chosen since it plays off the iconic: “May the Force be with you” expression. To join in on the celebration, Disney XD now unveils a new trailer for the upcoming STAR WARS: REBELS — an animated series set between the movies EPISODE III: REVENGE OF THE SITH and EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE — which will show the rise of the Empire, and the beginnings of the Rebels resistance. How will you Celebrate?

Though mentally you know it’s the day before Cinco de Mayo, for Star Wars fans around the world, this Sunday, May 4th is the worldwide day to say “May the Force be with you” to all and celebrate the beloved stories that bind our galaxy together. “May the 4th” (The date stems from a pun on one of the saga’s most famous lines, “May the Force be with you,”) kicks off a season of celebration, particularly since the month of May has always been important to Star Wars fans. Ever since this past Tuesday’s huge cast announcement, Star Wars fans around the globe now have even more to rejoice about this Sunday.

The six live-action movies of the Star Wars saga debuted in May (starting with the original Star Wars on May 25, 1977) the month of May includes George Lucas’ birthday (May 14, 1944), and has been the traditional start date of the popular Star Wars Weekends at Walt Disney World Resort (this year, the fun begins on May 16th). With the exciting launch of a new trilogy of movies beginning with Star Wars: Episode VII arriving next December, this day to celebrate the saga and its amazing fans is certain to become even bigger in the next few years.
