Move over Joaquin Phoenix, Bill Murray, Denzel Washington and Daniel Day-Lewis; Anthony Hopkins is now in the 2012 Oscar race! Today, Fox Searchlight announced a November 23rd release date for Hitchcock, about the making of  Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film, Psycho. Joining Hopkins in the eagerly anticipated flick will be Helen Mirren as Hitchcock’s beloved wife, Alma, Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh, Jessica Biel as Vera Miles, Danny Huston as Whitfield Cook and James D’Arcy (fresh off his role(s) in the upcoming Cloud Atlas) as Anthony Perkins!

Hitchcock will open limited on November 23rd and go wider before the end of 2012. Being a huge fan of Hitchcock and Psycho, I personally can’t wait to see how this movie will turn out!
