AFTER EARTH (6-7-13) One thousand years after cataclysmic events forced humanity’s escape from Earth, Nova Prime has become mankind’s new home. Legendary General Cypher Raige (Will Smith) returns from an extended tour of duty to his estranged family, ready to be a father to his 13-year-old son, Kitai (Jaden Smith). When an asteroid storm damages Cypher and Kitai’s craft, they crash-land on a now unfamiliar and dangerous Earth. As his father lies dying in the cockpit, Kitai must trek across the hostile terrain to recover their rescue beacon. His whole life, Kitai has wanted nothing more than to be a soldier like his father. Today, he gets his chance.

 

 

MAN OF STEEL (6-14-13) Next summer, “Man of Steel” is coming to the big screen. The film is from director Zack Snyder and producers Charles Roven, Christopher Nolan, Emma Thomas and Deborah Snyder. The screenplay was written by David S. Goyer from a story by Goyer & Nolan, based upon Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster and published by DC Comics.

Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption. THIS IS 40 (12-21-12) Writer/director/producer Judd Apatow (The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Funny People) brings audiences This Is 40, an original comedy that expands upon the story of Pete (Paul Rudd) and Debbie (Leslie Mann) from the blockbuster hit Knocked Up as we see firsthand how they are dealing with their current state of life.

 

 

OBLIVION (4-12-13) Tom Cruise stars in Oblivion, an original and groundbreaking cinematic event from the director of TRON: Legacy and the producer of Rise of the Planet of the Apes. On a spectacular future Earth that has evolved beyond recognition, one man’s confrontation with the past will lead him on a journey of redemption and discovery as he battles to save mankind.

 

 

DOWNLOADED (TBD 2013) The rise and fall of Napster and the birth of peer-to-peer file-sharing technology created by Shawn Fanning when he was a college student, changed music to movies, and made possible everything from Julian Assange, WikiLeaks to the iPod and Facebook. It became an expression of youth revolt, and contributed to a complete shift in how information, media and governments work. And it is a fascinating human story, where this 18-year-old kid invents a peer-to-peer file-sharing system, and brings it to the world six months later.

 

 

IRON MAN 3 *Japanese Trailer* (5-3-13) Marvel’s “Iron Man 3″ pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. JACK REACHER *Japanese Trailer* (12-21-12) When a gunman takes five lives with six shots, all evidence points to the suspect in custody. On interrogation, the suspect offers up a single note: “Get Jack Reacher!” So begins an extraordinary chase for the truth, pitting Jack Reacher against an unexpected enemy, with a skill for violence and a secret to keep.

 

 

WARM BODIES (2-1-13) WARM BODIES is an upcoming 2013 romantic zombie film based on Isaac Marion’s popular novel of the same name. Directed by Jonathan Levine (50/50), the film stars Nicholas Hoult (Hank McCoy/Beast in the 2011 film X-Men: First Class) and Teresa Palmer (I Am Number Four). The film focuses on the development of the relationship between Julie (a teenage girl) and R (a zombie), their romance sets in motion a sequence of events that might transform the entire lifeless world.

 

 

A GLIMPSE INSIDE THE MIND OF CHARLES SWAN III (2-8-13) Charles Swan III (Charlie Sheen) has it all. He’s an eccentric and highly successful graphic designer whose fame, money, and devilish charm have provided him with a seemingly perfect life. But when his true love, a perplexing beauty named Ivana, suddenly ends their relationship, Charles is left heartbroken. With the support of his loyal intimates– Kirby (Jason Schwartzman), Saul (Bill Murray), and his sister, Izzy (Patricia Arquette) – he begins a delirious journey of self-reflection to try and come to terms with a life without Ivana. “A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III” is a unique relationship film told in a playful and unconventional style.

 

 

THE SORCERER AND THE WHITE SNAKE (2-8-13) Action director Ching Siu-Tung helms this fantasy film based on an old Chinese legend about an herbalist who falls in love with a thousand-year-old White Snake disguised as a woman. Jet Li stars as a sorcerer who discovers her true identity and battles to save the man’s soul.

 

 

STAR TREK INTRO DARKNESS *Teaser Trailer* (5-17-13) In Summer 2013, pioneering director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes Star Trek Into Darkness.
