2016 marks the 30th anniversary of FERRIS BUELLER’S DAY OFF, released in theaters on June 11, 1986. This past weekend brought about a wonderful return ‘home’ for actors Lyman Ward and Cindy Pickett who played the parents of the title character in the beloved film. For the first time in 30 years, Cindy and Lyman returned to the site of their iconic movie house in Long Beach, California to shoot a promo for the upcoming “Ferris Fest“.
Beyond the Marquee was on hand as our team helped produce an exclusive shoot for a promotional video which involved Lyman and Cindy standing in the doorway of the iconic dwelling, supplying fans with tidbits of information about the 3-day weekend this May that will pay tribute to the most memorable day off in movie history. The morning also included a fun recreation of the “Get Well Gang” who came to bring Ferris some offerings of love and support from his fellow students!
