Two Simpsons Marathon Winners Break World Record and Walk Away With a Lot of D’oh!

Jeremiah Franco and Carin Shreve celebrate their new Guinness World Record and Simpsons Marathon win.

Congratulations to The Simpsons Ultimate Fan Marathon contestants, Carin Shreve and Jeremiah Franco, for breaking the current Guinness World Record for Longest Marathon Watching Television!   They accomplished this feat early Sunday morning after viewing “The Simpsons” episodes in order for 86 hours, 37 mins, and 2 seconds!  They broke the record held by Kevin Coon, Faris Hodo, and Victor Lopez which was set in 2010 at 86 hours, 6 minutes and 41 seconds watching all seasons of the FOX show, 24.

Carin and Jeremiah each walked away with a new world record, $10,500 check, Simpsons merchandise, invites to future Simpsons events and the prestige of lasting through a very tough competition requiring mental and physical endurance to beat out 100 contestants since The Simpsons Ultimate Fan Marathon began Wednesday afternoon.

Beyond the Marquee was the first media outlet to break this story and report the winners and have been on-hand throughout the weekend covering the event.  Keep checking our Homer-page for more information to follow!
