How Much Do the Fast Cars In Movies Really Cost?

How much does it cost to ride like the stars?

How much does it cost to ride like the stars?

You dream of owning a fast movie car, but you’re pragmatic. So, you bought a car offering good gas mileage at a decent price. But maybe you should have looked a little closer. Most silver screen vehicles like Lamborghinis and Bugattis are expensive, as Bit Wise Drivers covered in their “World’s Most Expensive Cars” post. However, there are some Hollywood rides out there that are the exception. These cars have price tags far more realistic than their movie’s plotline…

MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Ep. 4: Eye Spy (T.V. Review)

SHIELD Level 7

SPY GENRE CLICHÉ #86 — THE ROGUE AGENT.  A former spy goes rogue and battles the hero who works for the same agency that, in the rogue’s eyes, did him wrong.  Torn between loyalties, hero spy must defeat rogue spy/villain despite personal connections.

Every espionage franchise eventually gets to the rogue agent trope.  Tom Cruise did it in Mission: Impossible II.  James Bond tried it twice in GoldenEye and Skyfall.  It’s been utilized so many times that Archer spoofs it on a regular basis.  Now Marvel trots out the trope in this week’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode.  The results may not be the best, but they’re far from the worst.

Arnold Teams with Sly in ESCAPE PLAN (Film Review)

Well the ex-Governor and ex-boxer finally get full feature screen time together in their new film Escape Plan and they haven’t broken the formula yet.  Playing familiar roles, delivering pedestrian lines and punching their way through this prison story that could easily have been made for cable, the two icons create a lot of their usual fuss and drama.  Although the film has some good moments there’s not enough to draw a crowd of fans the size of their yesteryear.

Beyond the Marquee: The Web-Series (Episode 54) – THE PURGE: FEAR THE NIGHT

For most, Halloween isn’t complete without a trip thru your local towns “Haunted Maze”, whether it’s one created on a nearby college campus, in an abandoned store of a strip mall, in an old cornfield, at a major theme park or a deserted old downtown building. The themes and level of scaring range from family fun, to horrifically terrifying. This year after terrorizing moviegoers with such hit films as four Paranormal Activity movies, Insidious, Sinister and The Purge, producer Jason Blum, founder and CEO of Blumhouse Productions, found a new way to scare audiences.

Now thru Halloween week in Downtown Los Angeles, at the Variety Arts Center, you’ll find “The Purge: Fear the Night”. This truly intense Haunted attraction puts the guests right in the middle of the story that begins as soon as guests set foot in the the door. With elements of interactive theater, enormous set pieces and traditional mazes, this event and it’s cast of 40+ actors offers a new twist on a traditional way to be scared, without traditional horror elements. Following the theme of “The Purge” in which a future United States of America offers up, for once a year, 12 hours in which all crime is legal, up to and including murder, you’ll be sure to have one hell of an adrenaline ride. Beyond the Marquee’s own Jon Donahue takes you on a first hand sneak peek of the dark twists and turns of “The Purge: Fear the Night”
