Taking special effects and sound to a new level for a 3D film, Jack the Giant Slayer entertains with adventure and excitement. The audience for the film in my estimation targets preteen to 20’s male population. That said, the movie is critic proof with its giant size marketing budget and will certainly make a huge profit in the box-off draw. If you are an adventure film addict and enjoy movies like Journey to the Center of the Earth or 300than this movie should be on your must see list.
We’ve been bringing you over the last few weeks the assorted posters that Walt Disney Studios and MARVEL have been releasing for Iron Man 3. This morning we are getting a look at the International version of the final one-sheet. It’s clear to see that Tony Stark is pissed, his home has been destroyed, his love interest almost killed, and his life was almost lost…now he’s seeking revenge and ready to fight, as he floats atop rubble from his demolished Malibu mansion. What’s fun is we get to see some of the past incarnations of the Iron Man suits or armor depolyed behind him in some sort of escape mode flight, including what some are speculating as a space-suit (far right) which may be used at some point in the film, some have speculated to meet up with the Guardians of the Galaxy? At this rate we’l hopefully see the domestic US payoff poster within the week. On March 5th a new trailer debuts, so check back here that day for a glimpse at that as we get closer to the May 3rd release of the film! Scroll down to see the posters released thus far for Iron Man 3 and let us know what you think…and be sure to click on any to enlarge.
Today we saw the release fo the final payoff one-sheet of Monsters University from Walt Disney Pictures and PIXAR Animation. It looks great, a young Mike, Sully, Randall and a cast of all new characters take center stage, or at least to the bleachers, for a monstrously fun group photo. From the looks of it, there are some really interesting characters in this monster-mash-up, some we’ve seen in a couple of the earlier trailers and others I’m sure we’ll get to meet when the film is released. Click ahead to see the larger rez version, as well as a collection of some of the other domestic and international print campaign images from the new film. And let us know in the comments below what you think of this poster. The film hits theaters nationwide on June 21st.

Our good pal Travis Richey (Formerly known as Inspector Spacetime from NBC’s “Community”) is ready for a 2nd Season of his on-line hit Untitled Web Series About A Space Traveler Who Can Also Travel Through Time. The creative team behind the series are now trying to raise $10,000 on KICKSTARTER for the prequel episode, a lot of which will go to things that they’ll be using in future seasons (a Booth, Booth Console, equippment rentals, location permits, cast & crew pay, etc). They have some fun perks for this run including autographed posters and scripts, Season 1 DVD’s, a Skype session with the Inspector, a Set visit, or even a hand-made Optic Pocketknife!!! Season 1 was called one of the best TV shows on the web in 2012 by USA Today, and fans have shown that they’re willing to support quality comedy/sci-fi entertainment, in fact the goal is already half way met!!! Fans of the sci-fi comedy Back to the Future, they’ve even created the Season 2 trailer, based on the original Back to the Future theatrical trailer, pretty fun, check it out, and please support these guys if you can. Over the weekend Walt Disney Studios and MARVEL released another new poster for Iron Man 3, a character poster of Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts. She looks upset and so she should, holding the battle damaged helmet of her main squeeze Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) in her hands. Now before you question is this a helmet from the armory we saw being blown up in the trailer, or is this a spoiler of perhaps the demise of Iron Man himself? Take a look at EMPIRE magazine’s subscriber only cover features Tony Stark (sans the helmet which looks a lot like the one Pepper is holding), it looks to be one and the same. Fingers crossed for a final payoff poster in the weeks to come. May 3rd will be here before we know it! This years Academy Awards were a real treat to watch, not just from the vibe and feel of music and folly that host Seth McFarlane delivered, but just the entire energy given off by everyone in the audience and those who graced the stage for the 85th Annual event. Of course when you have prior knowledge of the future outcome by way of a visit at the top of the show from the 23rd century’s most famous time-traveling Starfleet Captain; James T Kirk, then you can be sure the end outcome would be nothing but spectacular and show-stopping. In case you missed the show itself, click ahead to see the entire list of winners in the categories they were nominated for. Though some films as well as individual winners were expected, others who took home an Oscar took some of us by surprise as you’ll see in the list below.
