Robot & Frank, a Cute Comedy (Film Review)

Even though Robot & Frank has some rough edges to smooth out, the film does produce a sweet bond between man and machine.  Finding this little gem at your local theater would be an opportunity to see some excellent acting with a cute little quirky storyline.

Lawless, a White Lightning Crime Saga (Film Review)

Totally out of control, the Bondurant brothers were a part of history that could only have been called Lawless.  The movie that opens today builds on the almost true story of bootleggers in Virginia from a recollection by Matt Bondurant, the grandson of one of the three main characters.  Lawless ‘shines’ in all departments including acting, script, direction and production value.  For those who like gritty action filled films, this creative crime story should not be missed.

Once Upon a Time, a Magical Season on Blu-ray (Video Review)

One of the best series this year in my estimation Once Upon a Time: the Complete First Season has been released on Blu-ray in a box set. This fairytale has all the frills of a theatrical release including some nice special effects, commendable acting and a very good storyline. Intriguing, creative and exciting after the first few episodes it’s addictive as reading a good book, putting it down becomes very hard to do.  But, you will want to take breaks between several of the twenty-two episodes so you can do other things like eat, sleep and give the TV a rest.

The Force is Strong Next Fall with the Re-Release of Back to Back 3D STAR WARS Films!

Experience STAR WARS in 3-D

As the Star Wars: Celebration VI convention in Orlando, FL winds down, there still seems to be no abatement of great Star Wars news being announced.  Looks like next Fall, Star Wars fans will get a double dose of the Force, when Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith are slated to be theatrically released in 3D, back-to-back on September 20, 2013 and October 11, 2013.

Fans at the Celebration convention who caught a sneak-peek look at the most recent elements of the converted Attack of the Clones held high praise for it, saying that the 3D was a far leap from the Phantom Menace 3D conversion which was released earlier this year.

We’ll have to wait a year to see if Lucasfilm paid attention to the outcry of disappointed fans and the dismal box-office receipts from Phantom Menace. Our hope is that they’ll make these next installments out of this world!

Check Out This Great Trailer for the New Animated Series; STAR WARS DETOURS

A hilarious breath of fresh air for the Star Wars Universe was announced today!  From the creators of Comedy Central’s “Robot Chicken” comes Star Wars Detours” a new animated comedy that explores what daily life is like in a galaxy far, far away.  There are no Empires striking back or attacking clones here.  Instead, “Star Wars Detours” focuses on the universe’s regular folks and their everyday problems … which, to be fair, do frequently involve famous bounty hunters, crazed Ewoks, and even a Dark Lord of the Sith.  Check out some scenes and images at their official FACEBOOK page.  Take a look at the trailer and let us know what you think in the comments below!
