Poster for Marvel’s AVENGERS Short ‘ITEM 47’ Debuts (and learn how you can see it this Friday!)

‘ITEM 47’ Marvel One Shot Poster

Over 100 alien artifacts were recovered after the Avengers’ “Battle of New York” and one is still unaccounted for. That’s the underlining theme behind Marvel’s Avengers short, Item 47, directed by Marvel co-president, Louis D’Esposito.  In this digital short, a young couple get their hands on one of the lost alien weapons of the Chitauri Warriors (whose race attacked the Avengers during the infamous Battle of New York).  The couple manage to make the gun work, heading out on a Bonnie and Clyde spree of mayhem and disaster, proving that human greed and alien technology just don’t mix.

Pursued by S.H.I.E.L.D. agents assigned to stopping the duo and retrieving Item 47, the film is a fun, yet action packed mini-expansion of the Avengers movie universe.  Click below for a larger look at the Exclusive version of the poster that Marvel will be giving out at Comic-Con, and get details on how this Friday night you can attend a super-secret screening of the film itself.

Does Elijah Wood Walk the Floor of Comic-Con?

Comic-Con (July 12 – 15)

With San Diego’s 2012 Comic-Con kicking off today, you might wonder what celebrities will be seen walking the show floor in-between their appearances in the Exhibit Halls.  Some celebs attend just to do their part for a studio’s Publicity dept. and quickly head home.  However, there are also a good number of celebrity attendees who were fans of Comic-Con before they became famous and like to stick around to check things out.

Like the other attendees, they get excited by the overwhelming amounts of toys, comics, and collectibles on display and will often walk the halls (sometimes with security) or blend in with the hundreds of cosplay characters, completely avoiding recognition.

In a recent Beyond the Marquee interview with the star of The Hobbit and Disney’s TRON:Uprising; Elijah Wood provided some insight when asked if he ever walked the Comic-Con floor as a fan.  Here’s his response:
