Hitting the arcade with ONE roll of quarters that lasts all day on a Saturday and watching The Empire Strikes Back 8 times in the theater with my big brother are two me of my fondest memories of growing up in the 80’s! Christopher Reeve was my Superman and Adam West was my Batman. Now all grown-up, 40 something, living in New Zealand and a mom of two not-so-teenagers, I’ve decided to give you my opinion, whether you like it or not. No matter what the genre, a good movie = realistic acting, good direction, seamless editing, a clever script and interesting story-line that doesn’t drag. It doesn’t take a huge budget to impress me, just yummy ingredients. (Napoleon Dynamite and Moonrise Kingdom are two of my all-time-favorites.) Now for my view… a Kiwi Lady review. Being a huge Jamie Foxx fan since “Ugly Girl” from “In Living Color” and not gonna miss an op to see Channing Tatum, White House Down seemed like the perfect choice of a film. This action-packed, shoot em-up delivers some great scenes, incredible CG of the Capitol Building exploding, and enough fighting sequences for the manliest of men! read more…

We recently heard from our good pal Travis Richey (aka “the Inspector”) from the hit Internet show; Untitled Web Series About a Space Traveler who can also Travel Through Time! He wanted us to let our Beyond the Marquee readers know that production is well under way on the prequel episode to Season 2 of Untitled Web Series… One of the most exciting things to have transpired lately is that their most integral character: The BOOTH, (the time traveling vehicle that transports the Inspector and his companions), something they didn’t actually own, has now been custom built just for their web-series. Click ahead to check out the just released photo album documenting the construction of a custom phone console to go with the posh new time machine. Master prop builder Brian Uiga, with the help of a gifted design team, created what can only be described as a marvel of modern engineering. Travis now needs to raise additional funds to complete the costs that went into the production of the recently shot prequel Episode, keep a look out for the launch of the new Kickstarter campaign for Season 2 early next week, a new trailer release on Saturday the 6th and a Guest Star Announcement coming soon. Till then, click ahead for all kinds of multi-dimensional out of this world updates on this exciting web-series…
This is Cool! The BACK TO THE FUTURE Phenomenon Examined by the Delorean itself in a new Documentary Film Project!
June 27th, 2013
Steve Czarnecki Stephen Clark over at BTTF.com passed this onto us to share with our readers and we just love this concept. Back in Time is an ambitious Back to the Future documentary film project with a unique vision and is happy to announce that the crowdfunding phase of their development has opened up with a Kickstarter project. For the next 40+ days, the filmmakers will be seeking backers for their unique film, to the tune of $33,000. Director Jason Aron and his production partners are set to steal the show at the 30th anniversary “We’re Going Back” celebration of the Back to the Future with their Back in Time documentary project, which focuses on the DeLorean Time Machine. The cultural impact of the movie franchise is the main element Aron and his partners want to examine. With regular references to phrases like “88 miles per hour,” “1.21 gigawatts,” “flux capacitor,” and many, many more having crept into the vernacular, the films have clearly had a lasting impact on modern pop culture. The documentary crew is determined to examine the depth and breadth of the ripples caused by the films. Click ahead for details on what looks to be quite an amazing film!
