Disneynature Gives Us a Sneak Peek at the Amazing World of BEARS
April 2nd, 2013
Julia Miranda With Earth Day approaching in a few weeks, it feels “natural” now, a little pun intended to anticipate a new Disneynature film to be released just in time for the Save the Planet consciously aware holiday. If you loved some of Disneynature’s past films like EARTH, OCEANS, AFRICAN CATS and CHIMPANZEE then one look at the new trailer for BEARS will have you hooked. Disneynature’s 2014 motion picture “Bears” cozies up to the brown bears who call Alaska’s stunning coastal mountains and shores their home, revealing through tender moments and entertaining imagery how these animals are far from grizzly creatures. This shooting location provides some of the most spectacular visuals ever for a Disneynature film. The film is directed by Keith Scholey (“African Cats”) and Alastair Fothergill (“Earth,” “African Cats” and “Chimpanzee”).
Disney/Pixar’s FINDING DORY to Dive into Theaters November 25, 2015!
April 2nd, 2013
Beyond the Marquee When Dory said “just keep swimming” in 2003’s Oscar®-winning film “Finding Nemo,” she could not have imagined what was in store for her (not that she could remember).
Ellen DeGeneres, voice of the friendly-but-forgetful blue tang fish, revealed details today about Disney•Pixar’s “Finding Dory”—an all-new big-screen adventure diving into theaters on Nov. 25, 2015. “I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time,” said DeGeneres. “I’m not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating ‘Toy Story 16.’ But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It’s got a lot of heart, it’s really funny, and the best part is—it’s got a lot more Dory.”

Positive Reviews for Tom Hank’s Broadway Debut in Nora Efron’s LUCKY GUY
April 2nd, 2013
Ethan Reynolds As expected, positive reviews have been coming in this week from various media and theatrical review outlets for “Lucky Guy” the Broadway production created by the late three-time Academy Award nominee Nora Ephron and it seems like New York has itself a hit. This entertaining show tips its hat to the life and times of the newspaper business of the 1980’s and 90’s. Told thru characters portrayed as print editors and reporters, the play is a fun flashback to the hustle and bustle of the tabloid jounalism days, pre-Internet. Heading up the actors in his dramatic Broadway debut is two-time Academy Award® winner Tom Hanks (aka the “lucky guy”) Mike McAlary. From his sensational reporting of New York’s major police corruption to the libel suit that nearly ended his career, “Lucky Guy” dramatizes the story of McAlary’s meteoric rise, fall and rise again, ending with his coverage of the Abner Louima case for which he won the Pulitzer Prize, shortly before his untimely death on Christmas Day, 1998. One of the Broadway season’s most highly anticipated plays, it opened last night and has a limited run at New York’s Broadhurst Theatre. “Lucky Guy” is Directed by two-time Tony Award® winner George C. Wolfe. Click below for extended cast and ticket information
The Host, Meyer’s Odd Romance at the Movies (Film Review)
March 29th, 2013
John Delia
Bringing her new book to the screen, Writer/Producer Stephenie Meyer tries for a good opening this weekend for the film adaptation of The Host. Hitting the target audience with a jolt of romance fantasy, the teens to twenties females should give the film a strong attendance. However, with hardly any promotion of the film, the male audiences will have to be dragged to the movie by their dates. With a hint of the love triangle from Meyer’s Twilight Saga series, the film should do well at the box-office.
