An enjoyable life drama Trouble with the Curve opens in theaters nationwide with a stellar cast playing likeable characters in this modern day sports story. Drawing on an age old message concerning separated family members the film should hit a home run with those who have been dealing with the problem and need a nudge toward reconciliation.

Today, Fox Searchlight announced a November 23rd release date for Hitchcock, about the making of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film, Psycho. Joining Hopkins in the eagerly anticipated flick will be Helen Mirren as Hitchcock’s beloved wife, Alma, Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh, Jessica Biel as Vera Miles, Danny Huston as Whitfield Cook and James D’Arcy (fresh off his role(s) in the upcoming Cloud Atlas) as Anthony Perkins!

When I first saw the cover art for this little sunken treasure, I thought for sure that this was going to be yet another low-budget, badly CG’d fish story that belongs on the SyFy channel. Well, I am happy to report that after viewing this flick tonight with some friends, it turns out that Bait 3-D isn’t half bad! It’s actually a fun popcorn flick that, if not taken too seriously, you and your buddies will find yourselves having a good time…
Just to be crystal clear, I’m not saying this film is in the same league as JAWS or Deep Blue Sea for that matter, but it’s heads and fish tails above last years dismal and highly forgettable, Shark Night 3-D. THIS I guarantee.

Disney began production today on Saving Mr. Banks, the account of Walt Disney’s 20-year pursuit of the film rights to P.L. Travers’ popular novel, Mary Poppins, and the testy partnership the upbeat filmmaker develops with the uptight author during the project’s pre-production in 1961. Saving Mr. Banks will film entirely in the Los Angeles area, with key locations to include Disneyland in Anaheim and the Disney Studios in Burbank. Filming will conclude around Thanksgiving 2012, with no specific 2013 release date yet set. Two-time Academy Award®-winner Tom Hanks will essay the role of the legendary Disney (the first time the entrepreneur has ever been depicted in a dramatic film) alongside fellow double Oscar®-winner Emma Thompson in the role of the prickly novelist.
