Whether you’ve seen them allready, or ar thirsty to revisit them again, here are this weeks’ latest and greatest.
June 5th, 2012 John Delia Technologically John Carter shines as one of the better films I’ve seen in a couple of years. The 3D CGI, make-up, puppetry, mixed with fine live action characterization alone is worth the watch. Meld all this technology with the amazing fantasy story by Edgar Rice Burroughs and you have an excellent home movie experience. Much like the film Avatar you don’t have to be a science fiction enthusiast to enjoy the adventure and fantasy and it’s now packaged in a 3D Blu-ray combo pack for home viewing. Male teens are the target for this home video, but not if your Tweens grab it first.

Mirror Mirror?
Snow White and the Huntsman had the fourth largest opening this year with $56.2 million, despite predictions of it bombing. I guess Snow White did get her prince, the audience, to rescue her after all. If only Universal’s Battleship could of had a prince.
The lack of competition played a major role in Snow Whites and the Huntsman’s success.
June 5th, 2012 John Delia There have been a lot of children’s series on the Disney Channel, but not quite like the comedy of Phineas and Ferb as they go from one adventure to the next. Seven episodes from their animated series featuring Perry the Platypus are now available on DVD. Called The Perry Files, this two-disc set provides a lot of fun for your elementary school age youngsters.

June 5th, 2012 Steve Czarnecki On Saturday, May 12th, Beyond the Marquee was on-hand with “TRON: Uprising” stars Elijah Wood, Bruce Boxleitner, Mandy Moore, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Nate Corddry, Lance Henriksen, Reginald VelJohnson, Paul Reubens and Tricia Helfer to celebrate the launch of Disney XD’s new animated series “TRON: Uprising” at DisneyToon Studios in Glendale, California. We had a chance to sit down with the cast of this new series as they elaborated on their characters and the unique TRON world in which they all now get to play. The Charlie Bean directed show is set to take place after the original TRON movie but as a prequel to TRON: Legacy. The sci-fi adventure follows Beck (voiced by Elijah Wood), a young program that becomes the unlikely leader of a revolution inside the computer world called the Grid. Check out the series launch of “TRON: Uprising” on THURSDAY, JUNE 7 (9:00 p.m.) on Disney XD.
